Suddenly my dad calls and tells me my friends have arrived. My heart surely skips a beat. My father says friends, does that mean they both came? Is my hijab alright? Gosh, why does my headpiece feels so loose? I should have probably worn an everyday outfit rather than this gown?

"Hey, you look so pretty," Saeed compliments me.

"Thank you, I can't believe you are here," I reply with awe.

"If you want we can come back later."

"No, please, take a seat. I am so happy."

"Happy to see me or happy to see him?"

Aayan has come. He is actually physically present at my own home. I still think I am in a fairytale. If happiness is a pair of wings, I will have probably flown away. I look at him and we have a direct eye-contact. I have to work so hard to keep my blushing to a minimum.

I ask them to sit down. On the second thought I ask my father if I can give them a tour around my house. My father gives approval and I happily skip away to make sure all the rooms are alright. I cannot believe Aayan is going to step in my room.

"Hey, you guys want to come and check out my house?" I ask.

"Sure, why not? After all you proposed," replies Saeed.

"I know I don't have the most beautiful house but still it's mine."

"You are enough to make it beautiful."

"Thank you Saeed, but I guess your friend won't agree."

Finally, Aayan steps in my room. He walks up to the balcony and comes back. My room feels blessed and soon he is going to bless my whole house. I show them my parent's room, the void, the kitchen and the guest room. Saeed asks that they will be more comfortable in the guest room.

But this is a social program and all the guests have arrived. I cannot just let my two friends have the privilege to stay inside. I ask them politely to take the seats in the living room threatening that those will soon be occupied. I think Aayan approves of it.

After sometimes Saeed comes in and asks for me. He and Aayan are looking for the washroom to perform ablution for the Asr prayer. If Aayan prays at my house, I will surely go up to heaven. I show them the washroom and Aayan takes a seat outside while Saeed goes in.

They both come out and go to the guest room but there is only one prayer mat for the guests because the others are bundled up in the store. So I give my prayer mat to Aayan. Is Aayan actually going to pray on my prayer mat? I will never leave that prayer mat ever again.

They offer their prayers and Aayan and Saeed comes out. Aayan looks so beautiful after praying. There is a certain glow in his face and I actually feel like he is a Hoor. I never yearn to touch Aayan because I am afraid that his beauty may be insulted.

"If you need anything ask my father," I say looking at Aayan.

"No, I think we are perfectly well," replies Aayan.

"If you hesitate, just send me a text."

"The arrangement is perfectly alright."

"You can't imagine how happy I am that you came."

They both go to the living room and I am separated from Aayan with a layer of curtain. But I know I will see him just after a while. The prayer ends quite soon and now is the time for the food distribution. I complete all my works and go back to them.

Aayan and Saeed go to perform Maghrib prayer with my father and I am so happy to see that Aayan and Saeed both are quite religious about their prayers. I myself being a practicing Muslim believe that no matter what, Salah is essential and above everything.

Oh, forgot to say. Zara has also come and Saeed is quite smitten by her look. He is a bit surprised to see her but he is happy overall. I see the way Saeed is looking at Zara in pure admiration. But I guess Zara is a bit hesitant but mostly indifferent.

When they come back I ask Zara to give the packet of Biryani to Saeed while I serve it to Aayan. When I am giving the packet to him, our fingers accidentally touch and what I feel is like static electricity. Maybe this is the first time we ever touch.

"Would you like to have a sweet?" I ask Aayan.

"No, I think I am okay," he replies.

"I will just bring you one, you have to eat it."

"If you are insisting so much."

"I had them specially brought for you."

The program comes to an end and it is time for them to leave. I want Aayan to stay over for the night but we already have guests for the night and I know he will not be comfortable. But still I ask him to stay back. But he politely says that he has exam tomorrow.

I text him saying thank you after he leaves anda few other things. I am quite disappointed when he does not text me back forthe entire night. But hey, Aayan comes right? He keeps my word. So I guess 3Ggifts me something but I am still not sure it is a gift.
