I really have no idea what God or the spirits of 3G building has in mind for me. I mean, one minute I am the happiest person in the world and the next, it turns into my worst nightmare. All I want is normal, sensational life, without complicacies of this sort. Why will Aadil have to come back?

"You came back? What are you doing here?" I ask Aadil.

"I had to. Got some unfinished business," he replies.

"But you left and it had not even been two months."

"I don't need your permission to come back."

"Of course you don't. Something never change."

I am frustrated. Aayan will be here any moment. I just want it to be one person at one time. What if they both notice my conflicting emotions right on my face? I am sorry but my body gives too much away of my mind and I have no control over it. Why does it feel like an exam day?

Oh my God. Aayan has just walked through. I look over my shoulders and keep a constant eye contact with him for a few moments. He takes his seat just by my side, in front of Aadil and I look forward. I have no other option but to take out my phone and read on the PDF.

Mohammed sir comes rather early and I am thankful for it. This seems so much like a dual date without sir present. He at first asks Aayan about his homework and he promptly takes it out. I cannot help but notice his perfect hands again and am jealous of the stationaries.

Mohammed sir seems in a chill mood today. He makes several jokes about Aayan's math and somehow the air becomes lighter. Some days Mohammed sir can be such a nice person. And I think, when people are nice, they are not pretending, they are just being their best self.

"Amber, look how Aayan did this math," says Mohammed sir.

"Seems alright." I reply after taking a look.

"Well, it is not a solving, it's a novel."

"Sorry, sir, but we are not always the experts."

"Well, you are close to becoming one Amber."

Mohammed sir is giving me compliments on my worst day at 3G. How can I turn these compliments into positive energy? I smile but the smile does not meet my eyes. I am battling with myself to concentrate on class and lectures of Mohammed sir but all I can think about is Aayan and Aadil.

"Sorry I am late. I just got caught up," said Zara while entering.

"Where have you been? I would have died," I replied.

"I can see the reason, no need to explain."

"Why did Aayan have to come today?"

"I think the question is why Aadil came."

Aayan is doing mathematics as if that is the only thing that is keeping him alive. It is not that he is better in Mathematics than me but he tries very hard. And I have to say, I can never try so hard on doing Math. I constantly pray to God that Aayan will look up at me once.

Zara keeps talking about my feeling about this. Thank God, she is talking to me. Her voice is the only thing that is keeping me connected to my conscience. Otherwise I will have told Aayan everything and he will have probably thought I am crazy. Or he will have understood completely.

I tell Zara that I am alright but just a bit clueless. Aadil is doing math and does not talk much like his usual self. I know he is back but what makes him come back? It is not that there are not any other teachers in this whole 3G building for Math. If the reason is me, I am dead.

I keep thinking of Rihana. Why is not she here right now? I need some serious advice on my situation. And I need to know what I actually want. Rihana always analyses my emotions and gives me the perfect answers. Answers sometimes which I am most afraid of.

Aayan asks once if I have any graph paper. This is probably the first time he ever talks to me directly. I do not know what to do so I just bring out my whole graph copy and hand it to him. He smiles with humor. I give it to him in such a way as if it belongs to him.

What will Rihana say about this? Will she say that I am making myself too available? She tells me this so many times before because it is true. She always advises me to be myself but also keep some reserve about me. Why is Rihana so goddamned perfect?

"Fairy Godmother speaking," says Rihana over the phone.

"I need to talk to Aayan," I say my problem.

"Did he talk to you ever before?"

"He just did, though I would hardly say it talking."

"Then maybe you should just hold your patience."

And I do. I hold my patience for so long that class comes to an end. And Aayan just storms out barely looking back. And I cannot just run and stop him because we are complete strangers.

Why not Aayan does stop and just say bye? I will have told him everything.

I guess my time will come. I just get out of thegate and Aadil just walks past me both sad and relieved. Two guys, going in twoseparate ways. But their stoppage is the same in this 3G building. Who shall Igo after?
