The sky was clear, stained with stars and there was that misty wind scented with freshly watered irises and roses plus the barbeque fish from downstairs. A package had arrived for Desire, she smiled when she saw Elena's name she wasn't shocked that she found out Kye's house address. There was a tingling feeling of excitement she felt, it had been a long time someone had given her a Christmas gift. The box was small with pink wrapping paper and a big bow. She tore it open revealing a brown stuffed dog with a letter.

Dear Desire,
This was Ashe's idea.
Merry Christmas.

Desire chuckled. Ashe was an animal activist and a very good veterinarian. She had to get them something and Madeline too and Elizabeth even Kye. She felt the air change in the balcony, Killian joined her.

"Mom sent me to call you" He said.

"Okay. I'll be down in a minute"

"Look Desire. Are you and my brother together or anything?" He asked resting on the bars.

"No" Killian had been nothing but nice and she felt like she owed him at least the truth.
"I think there's something there,i just don't know if I'm ready to have something. Its like I'm.. "

"Scared" He completed her statement and she nodded. Killian looked at her hands trying to change the topic.
"Is that a dog?"

She smiled.
"Its a Christmas gift from a friend."

He cocked his head.
"What would you name it?"

Desire thought then grinned wildly.
"Asena"

Killian licked his dry lips.
"Tells a story right?"

"A love story"

Desire had met Mrs Reed. She was nice but she had that judgey evil look plastered on her nicely tanned but wrinkled skin. There was a brief stare down Desire wasn't aware of so mrs Reed won either way. She was putting on a red apron with her brown hair in ponytail. She looked so much like Kiara, the straight nose, small lips even the cupid's bow and their striking green eyes that they all had.

Lily and Lidya had blonde hair like their mother and Desire had noticed their glare on her time after time. Killian was the most attractive Reed to Desire, he had calm green eyes not as piercing as the rest. His hair was dark brown with stubborn soft curls that make you want to touch them everytime. Koby was an exact replica of Kye except for his hair which was currently dyed red and the unknown amounts of piercings and tattoos.

Desire wanted to know Kye in and out everything about him. All his likes and worsts, his toothpaste to his shaving cream. She was drawn to him so suddenly it felt like an illness and he was her cure. She wanted to kiss him, taste that cotton candy on his lips once more. It felt like an addiction.

"Get your ass down here Koby Bartholomew Reed" Lilith shouted at her husband who was probably smoking something upstairs meanwhile everyone else was down for dinner. Minutes later Koby descended the stairs alongside Killian and Desire.
