After spending the whole day with Liam, Desire was sure that this will be one of the best days of her life. They went to a concert at the other side of town, later they chatted under the stars while eating quality cheese burgers and drinking Liam's hand made milkshakes. Still Desire couldn't stop thinking about Kye, she loved him she was ready to be better for him. Maybe she could plan a romantic date for tomorrow, surprise him. How lovely would that be.

On the walk to Kye's house, Liam bought them ice cream cones.
"You know I heard about Rachael"

Desire sighed deeply and licked a drop of icecream dripping down the cone.
"Yeah I haven't heard from her too"

Liam raised a brow
"No I mean I saw her. Few months before our wedding in a bakery downtown back home"

Desire stopped walking. Rachael was in her city? How could she have never seen her. Did she want to have nothing to do with her?
"What was she doing?"

"She was picking up a cake emm it had happy birthday on it"

Desire thought
"When exactly did you see her? Month?"

"I think it was April or may"

Rachael's birthday was on an October so whose birthday could it be?

"Earth to Desire" Liam waved his hands in her face interrupting her thoughts.

"I had a wonderful time today Liam nevertheless"

"I did too didi"

"Make sure you invite me for your baby showers Liam, I must be a godmother to a mini Gareth"

Liam twirled and lifted her off the ground.
"Yes ma'am"

"Put me down" She exclaimed, laughing.

"Goodnight Didi" He blew a kiss and began to walk away

"Night" She waved.

Her mind wandered back to Rachael, was Rachael really around?. Did she know about their moms death? She needed to find her, no matter what it takes. Now she needed Kye's help more than ever.

The loud chatter brought her back to reality, the living room was filled with people she had never seen before and she searched for a familiar face. None came to view until Mrs Reed spotted her about to walk up the stairs.

"Oh dear, how are you? Where have you been?  Here have a drink" She placed a champagne flute in her hands.

Desire smiled
"I was with a friend. Have you seen Kye?" We need to talk.

"No dear. He hasn't come down since the party began"

She nodded. Mrs Reed grabbed her hands and led her into the party.

"Ma'am I'm not really dressed for this, I've got icecream everywhere...."

Mrs Reed cut her off
"Nonsense, let me just introduce you to Kye's favourite Aunty"
She reached an elderly woman wearing all sorts of jewellery.
"Desire this is Martha, Martha this is the girl Kye spoke about"

Martha didn't smile, she just circled round Desire.
"Meh, the one upstairs is prettier" She concluded

Desire's mouth hung open and her eyes widened.
"What do you mean upstairs?"

Martha's hand hovered over her mouth as if that would hide the laugh bubbling up from her throat.
Desire's eyes dawned in realization and she ran up the stairs with the lingering sound of laughter ringing through her ears.

She ran to Kye's room and stopped in her tracks once her eyes landed on Kye laying on the bed while a blonde haired beauty from the photos sat on him.

Desire's eyes burned. How could Kye do this to her? She fucking trusted him.

Kye saw Desire barge in, he wanted to push Odessa off but his mind was filled with vengeance for earlier this morning.

"Hey babe this is Odessa remember? Odessa this is my girlfriend Desire"

Odessa smirked at Desire and she ran her fingers through Kye's hair.
"She's sexy" She whispered, her tongue almost touching his ears.

"Kye can we speak outside?" Desire cleared her throat and left

"C'mon we were just having fun.." He sighed
"I'll back" He told Odessa.

Kye smiled to himself and followed to Desire to a corner.

"What was that?" Desire asked gesturing towards the room.

"I think you mean whom?"

"No Kye I mean what was that useless act?"

"Odessa came for Christmas, suprise" He waved his hands in the air.

"Is this some kind of joke to you?"

"What?"

"Flirting with your ex in your bedroom in my presence"

"Well if your so bothered about it maybe you shouldn't have flirted with that dude in my presence....."

"That dude is my longest friend, I haven't seen him since I came home from that goddamn mental facility"

Kye tensed up
"What?"

"You know what fuck you Reed, I'm going home. I don't deserve this" She turned to leave but Kye pulled her back.

"What happened?"

"Nothing Kye, you've made that very clear" She sniffed.

"What happened Desire?" He repeated angrily.

"I was suicidal okay! You know I ran back home with one thing on mind my love for you and to kiss you and apologise but you had other things to worry about"

"Look Odessa means nothing okay. It's you I love i was just jealous and angry" Kye explained

"Okay so revenge was the best thing to do; call in your ex girlfriend to get to me. Your disgusting Kye" She spat evily.

"Look I didn't know you were...."

"Suicidal. Just say the fucking word"

"Yes. You could have told me, why don't you trust me? All this time"

She pointed at the room
"That is an exact reason why I shouldn't trust you"

"Telling me would have made a difference"

"Would that have made a difference to you? Would you have loved me less or would you just pity me? "

"Jesus Desire I'm trying to apologise here"

"Well don't, I'm done here. This.." She gestured between them
"won't work out. Ever"

"Don't do this Desire" Kye pleaded, his eyes glistened with tears.

"I didn't do anything. You did" She yelled and spun around, leaving Kye feeling like he had lost his most precious thing in his life.
