Boiling Point (Tahno x Reader)

A Date

You wake up in a large bed that is most certainly not your own. Jumping out of the bed, your eyes scan the room. Memories of last night flood back into your mind and you calm down. You open the bedroom door and walk into the living room.

"Good, you're up. How are you feeling?" Tahno's voice comes from the kitchen.

You follow the sound of his voice and find him standing at the counter with an egg custard tart in his hand. You hold out your hand and fire dances at your fingertips. A smile spreads across your face.

"Better. Thanks for saving my ass last night" you say as you sit down across from him.

"When it's an ass as cute as yours, how could I not? You hungry?"

You blush and accept some of the tart. "Did you make this? This is amazing!"

"Cooking is a secret talent of mine" he responds. "Look, I know you probably need to go home, but would you like to come back tonight? I could make you dinner"

"I would love to!" You beam.

"Great, it's a date!" He says.

He takes your hand and kisses it making you blush even more. You walk up to him, move his dark curly hair out of his face and kiss his cheek.

"Thank you again for saving me"

"Anytime, fire lily"

You walk back to the pro-bending gym to meet your brothers. You can hear the voices of your team coming from the training room. The second you walk through the door, you are bombarded with questions.

"Where were you?" "Are you okay?" "What happened?"

The two boys alternate asking questions. Mako's more angry and Bolin's more concerned. Asami comes in the door behind you.

"She spent the night at my house. We met up while she was on her run" she covers for you.

The boys seem to calm down and you send her a thankful look. She waves it off and walks over to talk to Korra. There's no match today, so you have the whole day to train. You are working with Bolin when your mind wanders to Tahno. His swoopy hair and beautiful silver eyes. The way his smooth voice sends shivers down your spine.

"(y/n), watch out!" Bolin's shouts tear you from your thoughts.

An earth disk is flying toward your face. Without thinking, you close your eyes, cross your arms in front of your face and brace for impact. But the pain never comes.

"Ok, what the actual fuck just happened" Mako asks.

You open your eyes and find a rock wall in front of you. You lower your arms and when you do, the wall retreats into the floor. The wide eyes of your teammates meet yours.

"My sister's an earth bender!" Bolin cheers and tackles you with a hug.

"Wait, can you still fire bend?" Korra asks concerned.

You throw a flaming punch at a target as an answer to her question. The rest of the day leading up to dinner is spent talking about your newfound skill and practicing earth bending. You decide to keep your earth bending a secret since you're the only known bibender (a term Bolin made up). Who knows what people would do if they knew you have that kind of power.

Asami had lent you some clothes after hearing about your date, so you're getting ready in the bathroom with your brothers still oblivious. The tight cotton dress fits perfectly. You slip on some lace up sandals and let your hair hang loose. Your eyeliner is sharp with a white outline. (Outfit above) You look yourself up and down in the mirror. Satisfied with the look, you leave the bathroom.
