Boiling Point (Tahno x Reader)

The Finals

A/N: Above is how I imagine Tahno's apartment just for reference.

You race out into the streets with tears streaming down you face. When you reach Tahno's apartment, you hear the voices of his teammates inside.

"So, when do we get our turn with Mako's hot sister?" Shaozu asks.

"What do you mean, your turn?" Tahno snaps.

"We're teammates, we share everything, right? It'd be good for morale"

"Dude, what the fuck?" Ming sounds shocked.

"Out, you're off the team, get out" Tahno shouts pointing to the door.

Just then, all three men notice you standing in the doorway with red eyes and tear stained cheeks. Shaozu pushes past you and leaves.

"Oh shit" you hear Ming whisper. "Um... I'll just be in the other room while you two sort this out" he says and walks away.

Tahno rushes up to you and you melt in his arms. Your tears soak his shirt while he holds you. Once you pull yourself together, he picks you up and puts you on the counter. He puts your hands in his and looks at you.

"What happened?"

"Mako found out about us and... and he kicked me off the team. He won't let me sub in. Oh and I think he might kill you"

"Well, my fire lily, I have the perfect solution. We're down a fire bender, so how'd you like to be a Wolfbat? And I could present you tonight as my girlfriend"

"If there is a match at all" you mumble.

As if on cue, a voice comes through the radio playing in the background.

"Despite Amon's recent threats, tonight's pro-bending finals will continue. The rookie Fire Ferrets against the reigning champs, the Wolfbats!"

"So how about my offer?" Tahno asks with a smile.

"I think the Fire Ferrets better watch out. They're not gonna know what hit 'em"

The arena is swarming with police when you arrive. You go straight to the locker room trying your best to avoid your brothers. You're successful and meet up with your new team. A uniform is waiting for you and you quickly change. You join your teammates on the platform and your heart races. The announcer calls out the Fire Ferrets and your brothers and best friend make their way into the ring. Pabu does a little performance and you smile. You could never be upset at that little guy.

"And their opponents the three-time defending champions now with a female fire bender, The White Falls Wolfbats!"

You step out with your teammates as fire shoots around you. Adrenaline courses through your veins as you know what's coming next. The three of you take off your masks and capes and Tahno wraps an arm around your waist.

"You ready for this?" He whispers.

"You bet your ass I am"

He laughs and pulls you in for a kiss in front of the arena full of people. The response is a mixture of gasps, cheers, and crying, but the look on your brothers' faces are exactly as expected. Mako looks murderous and Bolin's mouth is just hanging open.

You both pull back from the kiss and put on your helmets.

"After that unexpected performance... the champs and challengers face off at the center line. And here we go!"

The bell rings and your team immediately takes the offensive side. Tahno goes for Korra while you have to block a shot from Mako that was coming at him. Ming notices and immediately returns an attack at Mako who is knocked into the second zone.
