Jump Scare E.Sonnett

Y/N POV

The team had just finished practice for the day and I was beyond excited to just go back to the hotel and relax with my girlfriend, Emily, for the rest of the day. I sat down in my normal seat on the bus and waited for my bus buddy, Rose, to come and sit next to me. It wasn't long before Rose arrived. "Hey Y/N. How do you feel after that practice?"

"Like I won't be able to move for the next three days." I groaned. "What about you?"

"About the same." Rose laughed as she answered. The bus left the practice field and made the short drive to the hotel. Rose and I talked about some random stuff before Emily poked her head up from the seats in front of us.

"Hey babe, was there anything you wanted to do today? We have the rest of the day off."

I smiled as I saw Emily look at me with love in her eyes. I couldn't be happier with how my relationship with Emily was going. We've been together for just over a year. "I just want to shower and cuddle for the rest of the day."

"Ok babe. Sounds perfect." Emily winked and sat back down.

Rose nudged me and smirked. "Cuddle." She made air quotes.

"Yes, cuddle. I'm already going to be sore enough." I laughed as Rose made a face of disgust. "That's what you get for being dirty-minded, Rose."

The bus got to the hotel and we grabbed our bags from training. Emily grabbed my hand and we walked up to our room together. We got to our room and set our bags down. "Is it ok if I shower first?" I asked as Emily sat down on the bed.

"Of course." Emily gave me a quick kiss before laying back on the bed and turning the tv on.

Emily's POV

Everything was going perfectly to plan. I was more than happy to just relax with Y/N all day but I wanted to add a little bit of excitement. I decided that I'd go with a simple jump scare. I'd hide around the corner and scare Y/N as she got out of the shower. I didn't want to do anything too major because she'd probably ignore me for the rest of the day, which I did not want. I heard the water turn off so I hid behind a corner. Y/N walked out of the bathroom so I took the opportunity and jumped out at her. She screamed like I've never heard before. At this point, I was cracking up. "W-Why did you scream like that?" I asked in between laughs. Y/N glared and hit me playfully on the arm.

"You jerk. You scared the shit out of me." She started to laugh and changed into sweatpants and one of my sweatshirts. "Now hurry up and shower so we can cuddle."
