I was so excited to go back to talk about Diego's day with Camila. After I had left I went home and spent the day with my parents playing some old board games and they offered to take me down town to do some book shopping and I wasn't going to turn that down but I was too excited to shop tomorrow so I asked them to take me next week. My parents and I have a good relationship and I wish I could tell them everything but I can't, I want to be a good friend as well a good person and keep the tribe a secret.
As much as I loved to hear about Diego's love story I really wanted to explore more of their secret and surroundings. It was a breezy day out but the weather was overall good. I was thrilled to go back and once again I encountered those stone steps that lead me to my big secret. I ran to Diego's hut and banged on the doors and he opened it in panic.
'Diego! It's me! I really want to hear everything about yesterday!'
'Oh hello Mosu, come in!'
To my surprise, as I walked in I saw Camila sleeping on the sofa. I didn't even want to know but I asked anyways.
'I'm Diego why is Camila here?'
'Let's go to my room in the higher bit of the hut I'll tell you everything!'
'Ok so basically we had an amazing day, we had so much fun and collected a lot of cocoa and at the end of the day we went star gazing. We were both tired and my hut was really close so we just came here and she slept on the sofa.'
'Oh ok that's good I'm glad! Diego I have a question.'
'Ok what is it?'
'Can we explore? I mean if there is a secret tribe with a bunch of enemies, there must be lots of things out there, lots of secrets.'
'I trust you so I guess I'll take you to the place that I was talking about. The one with all the hidden stuff, la cueva secreta de los tesoros (the secret cave of treasures).'
'Ok that's great, when do we leave?'
'Now.'
He got ready and armed with a spear and I just stood there I guess full he got ready. We left and took a lot of turns till we reached to what I thought was a dead end and my dead end I mean waterfall.
'We have to jump.' Yelled Diego over the loud sound of the water rushing.
'Wait what? Why? I can't! It looks like it goes down pretty far and how am I supposed to explain going home drenched to my parents?'
'I'm sure you will think of something.'
Then he jumped. I had no choice so I went with him. I saw him swimming towards the waterfall which confused me and after it was a cave. Wow. We went in and the main bit was pretty far off but we got there and my eyes laid on stacks and stacks of cotton and cold and special crops etc. I was in awe.
'Wow that's a lot!'
'I know this is what the enemies are trying to steal and claim. We need our old adviser who is protecting us.'
Diego is my friend so I was going to be honest with him.
'Hey I'm Diego I'm sorry if this offends you but I'm just being honest and giving my opinion. I really don't think that the old man can cast a spell to protect a whole tribe.'
'It's ok I respect your opinion I see where your coming from. To be honest I don't really either.'
We both shared a long and hard laugh and it was one of those moments that you want to last forever but you know can't.
'I better get headed home, I'll come back tomorrow! I had fun!'
'Ok me too I'll take you to the entrance of our tribe so u know where to go from there.'
We talked about him and Camila and how he suggests talking me to the arts and crafts club.
We went our own ways and I went home to faces of shock.
'Mosu! Your drenched!' My mum exclaimed.
'Oh I just fell into a puddle!'
'It must have been a big one.'
'Haha yea it was you would believe me how big if I told you!'
I smiled to myself and took a warm shower then slept. I was exhausted but for the first time in a while I was happy.Sorry if the chapters are short. I might go Camila's perspective. :)
