Moving in

We were quite wealthy so we could afford a good house which was literally in the middle of a rainforest. I was jet lagged so I couldn't wait to snatch a few hours or days of rest. The area we were in was cool and crisp but I was so cold so all I wanted to do was cover myself in a blanket and drift off into a deep sleep, but that didn't happen. The house we moved into was modern and big, it seemed like a really nice place to live. I chose my room and started unpacking. I set everything up in about an hour and just stood there thinking about what to do next. It was really early as the plane journey was just over 24 hours. It didn't feel right to sleep at this time. I decided to leave the house and take a walk and I promised my parents I wouldn't go too far. Everything from top to bottom were different shades of dark green but I had also passed the most exotic looking flowers and a path of mushrooms. At this point I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, I was just admiring the nature that surrounded me. I could hear birds singing and monkeys chanting and I could feel a cold breeze rush past my face. I was just feeling myself till I heard a snap. It was like someone had just stepped on a bundle of twigs. I froze. I knew it could just be nothing but what if someone was following me. I looked around and panicked, I was lost. I tried retracing my steps and found myself sprinting for my life as I heard footsteps behind me. How long had I been walking for? I tripped. I literally saw my life flash before my eyes as I saw a ferocious, monumental animal leaping, I decided to accept what was soon to be my death but then the corner of my eye saw a long spear flying across the sky and going straight through what I saw was a tiger. I looked around, terrified, to see that the person who saved my life was gone.
