I woke up quite early and as much as I wanted to visit the tribe again, I really wanted to go shopping. I asked my parents and the said they would drive me to a market about half an hour away which I was excited about. The whole ride, all I thought about was how fortunate I was to have encountered the tribe in the first place, I really wanted to meet the famous Damien Smith, I want to hear more about his adventures. He had written more books like the one about a young boy's experience living in a rainforest, I'm assuming it was him. We finally arrived and I jumped out the car but tripped so I feel flat on my face. It was ok, I stood up without any stares in my direction. The market had stalls with fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fur coats and patterned rugs, crystals and glimmering jewels and even book stalls. That's where I went first, the book stall. I looked around in awe admiring all the books, reading all the blurbs and somehow I came across a Damien smith book. It was called 'La cueva secreta de los tesoros.' Sound familiar? It was the name of the secret cave that Diego took me too. The cover was a beautiful, rich dark green with golden spirals covering most of it. I turned the book to read the blurb. 'Everyone has secrets, everyone has enemies, some have enemies aware of the secret. They are enemies and they crave the sadness and failure of their enemies. What lengths would they go to, to expose your secret? He's just a boy but the power he holds with his knowledge is monumental. He experienced love, happiness, grief but never expected to lay his eyes on, 'la cueva secreta de los tesoros' and experience having to keep it a secret.' I'm not going to lie, it sound like a pretty good book so why not buy it? After I left the store with a new book in my hand, I saw the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. Her hair was the colour of caramel in perfect silky curls with eyes that could be mistaken for emeralds. Her skin so smooth with an olive tone and her smile could make you melt. She turned around and caught me staring. I quickly looked away but when I looked back she was still looking towards my direction. I wanted to talk to her, make a conversation. Normally guys would ask for a girls Snapchat or phone number but I wanted to get to know her, right here, right now. I was going to try and catch her attention till this tall boy with ash blonde hair caught it first. What was this emotion I was feeling? Anger? I think not. It's jealousy. He took out his phone so I'm assuming he was going to ask for her number. I rolled my eyes, he looks like he reeks of desperation anyways. He frowned then walked away. I think she might have said no. She was next to this small stall with crystals and jewellery hanging and laid out. I walked towards it. 'Hi!' She suddenly said. Wow she was talking to me.
'Hi! I'm Mosu, what's your name?'
'I'm lavender!' She has such a beautiful name, quite like her.
'Are you going to buy jewellery?' She asked. I wasn't going to buy anything from this stall, I just walked over here for her but I decided I could buy a necklace for Diego to give to Camila.
'Yes I am. What about you?' There was a slight look of disappointment on her face I couldn't figure out why.
'Oh are you buying it for someone special? I'm here to buy some of those rings with the amethyst crystals.'
'Oh no I'm buying it for my friend to give to my friend to give to his girlfriend I think.'
'You think?'
'I mean I think that she is his girlfriend, they went on a date and I don't really know what they are and Um sorry I feel like I'm embarrassing myself.' She just giggled. She has such a cute giggle.
'Oh it's fine your not embarrassing yourself. Where about do you live?'
'In a literal rainforest.' She laughed thinking that I'm joking till she realised I was serious.
'Oh your serious? I would love to go there sometime I'm pretty sure I know where your talking about. Is it the one like 30 minutes away?'
'Yes it is.' I gathered up my courage to finally ask, 'You should come by next week maybe and we could check it out together.'
'Yes I would love that!' I sighed in relief. She bought her rings and waved goodbye after we exchanged numbers. I still hadn't bought the necklace I wanted to give to Diego. It was a silver chain with a rose quartz at the end. I quickly paid for it and just as I was about to go I heard the lady at the stall say, 'good luck on your date.' I just smiled at her and walked away. I think I'm going on a date.
