❄Chapter 4❄

I woke up to see a blanket of white all around me, with my head throbbing.  I touched the ground-it felt like...snow?  I looked up at the sky.  It’s snowing?  But that’s not possible, it’s spring.  And why didn’t I feel cold?  I tried to get up from my miserable state with my hands under me, and pushed.  My legs didn’t seem to work, so I managed with crawling.

Where to go?  I thought, dragging my body along the snow ground, collapsing once in a while when the harsh wind pushed my back.  After making it a few feet, I gave up and fell face first in the snow. Might as well die here.  I thought.

Suddenly, I heard howling and quickly looked up, seeing wolves surrounding my figure.  Great.  This is how I’m gonna die huh?  Eaten by wolves.  Couldn’t be any better.  One of the wolves, probably the leader, stepped up and stalked towards me.  I can’t back down now.  I thought and looked straight into the animal’s eyes.

The wolf kept walking towards me and stopped right in front of me, sniffing.  I held out a hesitant hand out and let the animal sniff it before I started petting him.  Huh, friendly animals?  The corners of my lips twitched, threatening to quirk up.  But I guess I was too tired to even do that because the next thing I knew, my head slammed on the cold ground, knocking me out.

The dark abyss slowly faded and light shone on my face.  I groaned and cracked my eyes open.  Looking at the bedside clock, it read to be 10:00 am.  Shoot, I’m late for school.  I momentarily thought and flung the blanket off me, noticing the blood and rips on my white school uniform.  I sighed and blew the hair that was in front of my face.  How did that happe-

Everything came crashing down on me, all the images flashing within my mind made my head throb.  But the scene when my mom’s car exploded in fire and smoke, was on repeat, tears threatened to escape my tear duct.  I pressed the heel of my hands at the corner of my eyes to stop the liquids from leaking out.  Once again, it is your fault that everyone died.  My inner voice sneered at me.  I let its voice seep into me and drop my head in defeat.

I felt my cheek and it touched the dried up blood line from the knife Daniel sliced me with.  But my head snapped back up and I looked around me.  Blue glass?  What the hell?

Where am I?  Frig.

I banged my hands on my lap and lifted myself up from the soft mattress underneath.  Where the hell am I?  I raced from the bed and pushed open the doorway and right smack into a wall.  Why the hell was there a wall right in front of the doorway?  That made no sense.  Stupid people these days.

“Watch where you’re going,” a deep voice cut through my thoughts.  The hell?  Walls can talk?

I glanced up and almost snapped my head, glaring at the tall guy who was...approximately 6 foot something, in comparison to my mere 5 foot 2 inches.

Stupid Asian genes.  I made a point of ignoring the person and went to step around him.  But his stupid wide frame was blocking the doorway.  Nice chest... Shut up, brain.  I risked myself another glance at the guy’s face.  Kill.  Me.  Now.

His hair was blondish-white, his skin was unnaturally pale and his dark blue eyes stood out from his light features.  Better yet, his eyes were framed with glasses.  You know what they say; hot anime guys always sport glasses on their faces, so it’s true in real life too right?  Snapping myself back to reality, I focused my attention at the little amount of space behind him.

“Move,” I said through gritted teeth.  He didn’t respond so I tried stepping through the small gaps that was beside the door, but he blocked those.  So, I resorted to one thing.  And no, I didn’t kick his man parts-too predictable.  Instead, I continued to “go through” the tiny gaps, and he fully blocked them.  Then, I quickly fake stepped to the last gap, seeing his leg blocking it, and then slid down beneath his long legs.
