❄Chapter 6 ❄
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" Said every teacher in each class.
"Don't bother the new student, can't you see that she is ready to murder everyone?" Said no one ever.
"Everyone go fall in a hole and die." I said-in my mind-every time as the sea of faces stared at me. Judging.
"I like being short." I said out loud each time, hoping to make them disinterested in me. No luck, they seemed even more interested than before.
I had Aether in some of my classes. But he sat in front of the class, and didn't turn to anyone to talk to during the span of the class. Despite the many name callings of people who wanted me to sit next to them, I chose to ask a kid from the front middle of the class to trade seats with me.
During the class, I focused my attention to each teacher and raised my hand each possible time. But eventually, all the teachers got the message and called on me when no one else knew the answer. I was able to ace every class. So far.
Lunch rolled by. The actual "class" that I fail with. After receiving my lunch, I felt tempted to eat lunch in Diane's office but didn't want to bother her.
"Zelia!" A high pitched voice yelled out, grabbing my arm quite roughly. "Why don't you sit with us?" I turned my head and saw a rather attractive girl. She had black hair and brown eyes-like I do, but her body and facial structures are more of what a guy would look for. Yet, her tone and voice really irritated me.
"Hey, umm..." I waited for her.
"It's Fara." Frig her, even her name is beautiful. Take the plastic knife and stab her eyes. My brain suggested. As much as I like to obey it, I refrained.
"I'm good, thanks" I replied, shrugging off her arm. She glared at me and raised her hand to grab my arm again.
"It was not a request, I'm telling you to sit with us," Fara pressed on.
"I'm sorry, but the pitch of your voice suggested otherwise. It clearly went up a few notes, as it usually does when a request, or question is being asked. And I decline. Thank you," I stressed out, pushing her out of the way, gladly spotting Bonnie quickly and sitting down.
"Hey, Zelia. It's nice to get another girl in this table. It seemed too patriarchal at this table," Bonnie said. "Anyway, that is Cavean, and you already know Aether."
I absentmindedly lifted my spoon and opened my mouth. The other Asian person grabbed my wrist before I could bite. I stared back at him, waiting for his explanation on why he stopped me. He looked like those K-pop guys, without the dyed hair and eyeliner. So, based on that judgment, I'm guessing he looks hot? I don't know.
"Don't get school lunch, it will kill you," he said, looking dead serious. I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously? It can't be that bad..." I trailed off, finally focusing on the green blob on the spoon. Hmm...I should probably shove some of that blob down Fara's throat.
"Here. Have some, just make sure to bring your own lunch next time," Cavean said, handing me half of his sandwich. Is he trying to starve me? If so, I could eat him, I'm a growing girl. But, keeping my act, I accepted it and started eating.
"So, what did Fara want?" Bonnie asked. I shrugged.
"She wanted me to sit at her table."
"Good thing you didn't," Cavean cut in. "She's like a snake. Cunning, able to get what she wants, smart, and hot." I rolled my eyes. Boys.
