-Ahmya-
I walked quietly into the house, but was greeted with a grinning Ten Ten almost instantly. She was holding a kunai that she had been working on for month. Usually it didn't take more than a day for her to perfect a weapon. I wonder what was so hard about this one.
"Auntie, you're home," I smiled and she nodded her head back at me.
"How was school today?" Ten Ten grinned at me and placed down the kunai, wrapping it up so I couldn't see it.
"I have to ask you something," I stated sternly, staring at her, "And don't dance around the topic like you do,"
"Oh, okay? Is everything okay?" She looked at me with a concerned face.
Every single time I have ever mentioned my mom I get the same old story. That she and dad fell in love at a young age, and they had my older brother soon after the war. A year after the war to be exact, and then they had me two years later. My older brother was somewhere with my Dad, I think, while I got placed here.
I only had flashes of memories about my mom, the way she looked, and sometimes I swear I had heard her laugh at least once. I barely knew her, but I knew her name was Akari from the last conversation I had heard Aunt Ten Ten have with Dad.
I knew my dad, the great Sasuke Uchiha. He wrote every once in awhile, especially on my birthday. He never answered any of the important questions though. Like who my mom was, who my brother was, or who we really were. I had no connection to her blood line, only to Dad's. The Uchiha clan, and the small amount of history Auntie would let me read.
"It's about my mom I want to know one thing," I could tell by the look on her face she hated where this conversation was going, "Is she Lord Seventh's sister?"
Ten Ten froze, and dropped the kunai she was holding. I looked down at the weapon and then back up at her. Knowing that reaction was more than enough for me to know the answer. I nodded my head, before sprinting out the front door. I could hear her calling for me but my feet were moving faster than they ever had before.
I made it to the other side of town, and ran up the sidewalk to the front door. Knocking hard, and as loud as I could. I was expecting to be faced with Boruto's annoying mouth but instead I was faced with Lord Hokage himself. He looked at me, with a bit of a shocked expression, but then grinned at me slightly.
"So you figured it out?" Naruto smiled, and I just looked up at him with a confused face.
"You know?"
"Sasuke told me you were smart, and had a feeling you would put the pieces together," Naruto stepped aside, letting me into the house. Boruto and Shikadai were sitting in the living room, along with Shikamaru. The three of them looked at me, and Shikadai smiled at me softly. Letting me sit next to him on the couch, I squeezed next to him.
"Lord Seventh, I would like to know about my mother please," I sighed, and froze when I heard a familiar voice, one that hadn't been in my ears forever.
"Ahmya don't be impatient, we are going to tell you the story," I turned to see my Dad walking out of the kitchen. I smiled and got up to hug him. Grinning as he hugged me with his one arm, squeezing as tightly as he could.
"You're home," I smiled pulling back to take in his appearance, and he just nodded his head.
"And you're quicker than I thought you would be, when Shikamaru sent word that these two were figuring it all out, I wanted to make sure I was here to tell you what happened," Dad smiled at me softly, patting my head.
"If she is my mom, why don't I know these things? None of this makes sense?" I frowned, looking at the adults in the room. Boruto nodded his head to agree with me.
"Why is she some big secret, and why never tell either of us about her?" Boruto added, and it was my turn to nod along with him. We looked at each other, a little annoyed that we were agreeing for once.
"I didn't want to keep it from you, either of you, but I knew if I told you it wouldn't be fair to Sasuke," Lord Seventh added, "Which, Sasuke, maybe you should have this conversation with Ahmya privately first?"
"I was thinking the same thing," Dad stood up and smiled at me, "Follow me Ahmya,"
I looked at Shika, and then stood up from my spot. I followed Dad to the Uzumaki's backyard. The stars were bright tonight, and I found myself automatically looking up them. Smiling slightly up at how pretty it was.
"She used to do the same thing you know, anytime we talked," Dad spoke up, and I looked over at him, "She was always so drawn to the sky, I don't know if she noticed it or not but she was,"
"Dad, is mom, is she dead?" I sighed, finally asking the question that's haunted me for years.
"No, Ahmya your mom is not dead," Dad laughed a bit, "She was just, troubled, we both made a lot of mistakes,"
"Mistakes?" I frowned, focusing more on him now. Dad was a hero, I knew that. Aunt Ten Ten told me that.
"Before we begin, please understand it's my fault your mom did the things she did, I pulled her away from the village," Dad sat down and I joined him, "I was on a quest for power which led me down a dark path, your mom made it her personal mission to pull me out of this darkness that surrounded me,"
"In turn though I set her on a path of darkness of her own, and led her to a man who had plans for before I even knew her," Dad was now the one looking at the stars, "I hated myself from the moment I finally began to see the truth, and realized that she was the one who was lost then,"
"Did you save her?" I frowned, staring at him.
"Actually no, your knuckle head of an Uncle was the one to fully pull her back, and I was just waiting for her at the end of the tunnel,"
"Where is she now?" I looked back to see Lord Seventh walking outside, Boruto following him.
"She believes she has to atone for her mistakes, mistakes she was forgiven for, but both of your parents have been trying to be better for you," Lord Seventh smiled at me, "Your brother Itsuki just wouldn't leave your mother's side,"
"I want to be with mom!" I shouted, and Dad just smiled.
"Yeah and I want to know Aunt Akari!" Boruto shouted with me.
"Let us tell you both the story, okay?" Lord Seventh laughed, and looked at Sasuke.
"Let's start from the beginning of the war for now," Dad sighed and Boruto and I sat with them.
