Death is beautiful when you want it.
Hinata's pov
"Hinata, no!"
I flinched when I heard a familiar voice calling me. When I turned around, I was met with no one. Only the warm wind, the tall trees, and my trail of blood were behind me. Huh, I think the blood loss came over me. Or I'm crazy. Both I think.
Turning back to the cliff, I looked at the sky. There were no clouds. it was...peaceful. Slowly, I closed my eyes and savored the nothingness. When I opened my eyes again, I was falling. The sky was still clear, but my foggy mind couldn't seem to grasp it. I could faintly feel the pain in my body and the wind blowing around me. Then, I remembered my mother's words:
WHEN THE SKY IS CLEAR AND SOMEONE DIES, IT MEANS THAT PERSON IS FINALLY HAPPY
And after that, I felt nothing.
No one's pov
While the teenager was happily ending his life, the world continued like always. The team, despite being worried, thought that a break would be good for the boy, so they didn't question his absence. Shou, his brother, was absent too. He managed to convince his mother to tell the police their story, so now they were interrogated at the police station. Despite leaving in the middle of the day, no one saw Hinata and no one noticed the small trail of blood the boy left behind. His father was happily drinking a bottle of beer, rewatching the records from the last night.
And when the teenager finally died, the world seemed to stop. The team was heading towards home when they looked up and saw the purity of the sky. The mother and son were leaving the police station happily smiling when they looked up at the sky and felt something broke inside them. Everyone felt something break inside them. Everyone thought it was the tiredness or the truth. They could only hope that the clear sky bought good news.
It didn't.
With the arrival of the night came the half-truth. The police harshly broke down the door of the two Hinata's home, only to be welcomed by empty bottles of beer and wine, a suspicious white substance, and blood. A lot of blood. Shoyo forgot to clean up the hall before he left. The father struggled a lot, but nothing could save him from his fate. The police looked around everyone, but they didn't find the boy and the father told them he didn't know where he was. The officers looked around for hours, but the darkness of the night didn't help them so they decided to continue the investigation in the morning.
The night didn't stop them from announcing the boy's disappearance on the news. After all, the boy was heavily injured so his life could be in danger. The team didn't take well the news. This was the worst way to find out your dear friend was abused, raped, and declared missing. They quickly met up and started searching for their teammate, despite the cold night and late hour. Even Shou and his mother were searching, trying to find any clue about their last family member's whereabouts.
They didn't find anything.
When the morning came, the police began investigating again. There was a lot of evidence that could end the man, but nothing indicating where Shoyo was. That was everything they knew for a few hours until an officer noticed the almost invisible trail of blood. They quickly began following the lead. When they were met with the forest, they called for an ambulance and the trained dogs. With the animals' help, the policemen quickly reached the edge of a cliff, where only a big amount of blood was left behind. The special men went down the cliff, only to find the cold body of Hinata Shoyo, who died with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. The view was agonizing for everyone.
They quickly got the body out of the cliff. Some of the people present there shed tears when they saw his body. With reluctance, the policeman contacted the family.
To say the mother and son were sad would be a mistake. They were devastated. Even her new husband and daughter were sad, despite meeting the boy only once They considered him family too. With broked hearts and trembling hands, they went to confirm the dead boy was their son.
Sadly, it was.
And that simple fact broke every one. Despite being cleaned and covered up, anyone could see how broken the boy was. The black bags under his eyes, the broken jaw and the countless bruises were the things that emphasized the way to pale skin and the smile on his face.
The family left the morgue feeling like they have failed the boy.
When the team found out about his death, there was silence. No one could believe their sunshine was dead. Then the dam broke. The tears and their agonizing screams could be heard even inside the school.
The team left the gym feeling like their everything was gone.
It was a big funeral. Everyone loved the tangerine boy. There were even some members from the opposite teams, like the Nekoma's. The funeral wasn't loud like everyone thought. There was no sound as the priest prayed for Hinata Shoyo's soul. The tears were running down in silence and everyone stood still. The atmosphere was in contrast to the Shoyo's behavior. He was always smiling. he was loud and he was a ball of energy. It seemed like no one could believe the boy is dead.
At the final of the funeral, everyone tried to smile in the honor of their lost friend and family. But they couldn't.
And while everyone was mourning the death of an innocent boy, Hinata Shoyo was happily making flower crowns with his little brother.
