CHAPTER XXV
Forget-me-notsSeyoung breathed heavily, sweat dripping down her body, as she continued walking towards Myoui's house. She really has a long way to go, but what can she do? She has no money. She didn't have their phone either. Another thing, her cheek was swollen, which she didn't know where she got it from. Add to this, the white floral dress she was wearing that was stained with dirt and was really annoying for her.
"Mimi!" Seyoung felt hopeful when she saw one of her friends in Ace of Race not far away. The young lass was with someone who looks younger than her.
Seyoung was about to throw herself at Mimi to give her a warm hug when the latter stopped her by shouting, "Don't you dare come near me!"
"Mimi, what's wrong with you? It's me, Son Seyoung, your buddy," Seyoung said while Mimi's index finger was on her forehead, preventing her from getting closer to her.
"I know. I'm not stupid. I can tell who you are, that's why I don't want you to come near me." Then Mimi pushed Seyoung's forehead with her index finger, making the blonde frown.
"What? Mimi, what's going on with―?"
"Unnie, don't be hard on Seyoung," the one with Mimi chimed in, causing Seyoung to interrupt.
"Binnie, please, don't meddle," Mimi warned.
"But unnie―" Binnie was cut off when Mimi looked daggers at her.
Mimi then looked back at Seyoung, "You. Why are you messing around here, huh?"
"Believe it or not, I don't mess around, Mimi," Seyoung replied.
"So what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at uni?" Mimi wondered. "As far as I know, Chaeyoung has a class today. Don't tell me you ditch her class again. You haven't changed then."
Seyoung took a deep breath, "I admit I ditch Chaeyoung's class but Mimi, I didn't do this thing just to play around. I also have things to attend to. One more thing, I'm not Chaeyoung to study. I will only spoil her education if I attend her class. Have you forgotten? The day grannie forced me to go to uni because of the exam, what happened after that? Chaeyoung got a perfect zero, and she became a laughingstock."
"Such things will not happen if you study hard," Mimi retorted. "When are you going to change, huh? Aren't you ashamed to be like that, ignorant, uneducated?"
Seyoung raked her hair out of frustration and cursed loudly, "God damn it!" causing them to grab even more attention from passers-by, "This is me so if possible, Kim Mi Hyun, don't compare me to Chaeyoung or anyone else."
Mimi came closer to Seyoung. "I am not comparing you, and I have never done so. I just hope you study so that your pea sized brain can somehow gain knowledge, you fucking idiot!" she shouted the last part of her words in Seyoung's face.
Seyoung huffed, "I tried, didn't I? But my brain is not really capable of studying."
Mimi shut off her eyes for a moment and then turned to Binnie, "Binnie, please talk to this one before I completely explode." Then she turned her back on Seyoung, both hands are on her waist.
Binnie sighed before facing Seyoung. "Seyoung-ah, if you're not messing around then what are you doing here instead of being at uni? And why do you look like that? What happened to your gentle face and clothes?" she asked calmly.
Mimi scoffed, turning to Binnie. "Oh, come on, don't be gentle with that one, Binnie," she said. "Why do you look like that?" she repeated what Binnie said and laughed sarcastically. "Girl, don't ask her that way. Don't be shy, speak with contempt because that one doesn't deserve proper treatment. Rephrase your words like this, you impudent brat, why do you look like a filthy beggar, huh? Have you found your match, then dumped you like shit? Just like you used to do to the girls you hit on."
