CHAPTER VII
The HunterSEYOUNGʼS HIDEOUT
As soon as Nayeon opened Seyoung's bedroom, all her blood rushed to her face when she saw her sister's shoulder-length blonde hair, as well as her clothes scattered on the floor. Her sister is currently sleeping in the bed with her mouth open, wearing a white sando and loose printed boxer shorts.
"This lunatic is really exhausting my patience. Has she forgotten the rules I gave them?" Nayeon muttered, and unhesitatingly pulled the quilt causing her sister to tumble to the floor. But her sister seemed to sleep as soundly as Sleeping Beauty because she didn't even wake up.
Nayeon approached her sister and crouched down in front of her. "Son Seyoung," she called while shaking her shoulder. "Wake up now or your beloved motorbike will explode in no time," she threatened, knowing how much her sister loves her motorbikes, especially her black Ducati Panigale v4 sp2.
"Unnie, please just five more minutes," her sister replied groggily, but she managed to hear it clearly.
Five more minutes? Nayeon's eyebrow rose at this. She brought her face close to her sister to smell her. The one in the front didn't smell of alcohol or women. She still smells Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia perfume―a floral and fruity scent with a combination of pear, freesia, and rose tones―Seyoung's perfume choice, which is as addictive as she is.
"Chaeyoung, is that you?" Nayeon asked, really having no idea, but the word five more minutes really caught her attention.
"Yes, I am Chaeyoung," her sister replied, eyes still closed as she hugged her knees to her chest.
"All right, five more minutes," Nayeon agreed because it was too early to go to the university and also because she thought that her sister might be too tired because of the foolishness that Seyoung had done while she was out, which she didn't know about yet. She stood up and took one of the pillows on the bed and put it under Chaeyoung's head. She brushed Chaeyoung's blonde hair and wondered why she suddenly hid. Then she kissed her forehead and lovingly said in a low voice, "I miss you as much as I miss Seyoung, honey."
After that, Nayeon picked up Seyoung's clothes that were still on the floor. Her eyes widened with fear and dread at what she saw on one of Seyoung's clothes. It was stained with blood. "What trouble did you get into, Seyoung-ah? You just came out but why..." She didn't finish what she was going to say when she remembered her girlfriend who was in the kitchen cooking their breakfast.
Negative things engulfed Nayeon's mind. Blood would never be a joke to her. Blood is what she hates the most. Blood is one of her fears. She became pessimistic again, thinking of the worst scenarios that could have happened in Chaeyoung's almost a week of hiding. If by chance the ones running through her mind happened, Chaeyoung would surely be in trouble, and just the thought of that made her knees weak.
Nayeon tearfully went to the bathroom to wash Seyoung's clothes before anyone could see it. She doesn't want to leave any trace that will damage Chaeyoung's name, as long as she can hide it, she will, whether against her will or not. Chaeyoung's safety first before anything else, that's what Nayeon promised to their late parents, that she would do everything to protect her younger sister, even if it cost her life.
Just minutes after Nayeon entered the bathroom, Jeongyeon can be heard knocking on Seyoung's bedroom door while shouting, "Hon, breakfast is ready!"
No response.
Jeongyeon opened the door, a playful grin curved across her lips upon seeing Chaeyoung, who she thinks is Seyoung, sleeping soundly on the floor.
"You dumbass, you're done!"
