Ding!

A text message came into Mina's phone that broke the silence prevailing at the dining table. Eager to see who its sender was, Mina fished it out from the pocket of her short shorts. Her lips parted after reading Minnie's reply to her message that she sent before going home.

[Mina: Did Kerri go to uni today?]

[Meanie: Yes, but something bad happened.]

Despite knowing it wouldn't be good news, Mina couldn't help but jump for joy knowing that Kerri was attending university today. Somehow she found hope in the things that troubled her mind. She wished that Minnie would be a loyal friend like her best friends, Momo and Sana, otherwise she would only get more heartbroken.

[Mina: What happened?]

[Meanie: Kerri collapsed while eating in the cafeteria with Arin and the others.]

[Mina: Did you see that happen or just hear it?]

Mina asked because she knew how gossipy this friend of hers was. Maybe this is just one of the fake news that is spreading in the university.

[Meanie: I was present when that happened. In fact, it was even rumored that she had food poisoning or some kind of allergy. Who knows?]

[Mina: Do you know which hospital she was taken to? I would like to visit her.]

[Meanie: Does that even need to be asked?]

Sarcastic!

[Mina: This is an important matter.]

[Meanie: You're no fun when it comes to triplets. Well, Kerri was rushed to Yoo hospital.]

[Mina: Are you sure about that? Maybe it's just gossip. You know what I mean?]

Mina asked again to make sure because she was finding it hard to trust people these days. She feels like everyone is deceiving her or playing with her mind. She didn't like it, really.

[Meanie: Jeez, Mina. You don't need to shove it in my face that I'm a gossiper. I know myself well and I don't add stories. I tell what I saw. I told you that I was present when that happened so there was no way that I wouldn't see her being taken by ambulance from Yoo hospital.]

"Ehem!"

Mina was about to type a reply when she heard someone clear her throat. She looked up from her phone only to see that all eyes were on her, especially Nayeon with a raised eyebrow.

"If it's that important why don't you excuse yourself first, Mina? Have you forgotten table manners? There should be no phones on the table, or they should be turned off or silenced. If you need to call or text, leave the table and go to a location away from the dining area. Remember, if your phone is out, it indicates that it is more important than the persons you are eating with."

Mina has had enough of the rules in the Son house. To be honest, every time she heard them she felt like she was a puppet being controlled by others, but even then she couldn't resist. Her relationship with Chaeyoung always gets in the way. Just like now, she did nothing but apologize for her behavior.

"Please excuse my behavior, Nayeon unnie."

"Take it back. Everyone is doing the same thing, so why apologize?"

Not only Mina was surprised but everyone when Chaeyoung spoke against her sister's words. Mina doesn't know if she should be over the moon or seething with anger because of her girlfriend's bad behavior. She knew that Chaeyoung just wanted to defend her from her sister, but the fact that it was wrong to speak ill of her sister made it clear to Mina that she should scold Chaeyoung. Mina was about to speak to scold Chaeyoung when Nayeon spoke.
