The Six: Heroes' Origins (Marvel)

chapter 17

Toshio and Mike analyze Nico at the attempted rescue. They realize the mark on his chest resembles one of a hero who is also the ruler of a hell dimension. They suppose he might be related to him in some way. After further analysis they come upon the massive fire tornado Nico created which has the same visual properties as a move the hero used to teleport his foes to his hell dimension.

"There might still be a chance Nico is alive". Mike says

"If there is a chance he's in a hell dimension we'll have to find a way to pull him out otherwise we just have to wait". Toshio says.

"I guess that's all we can do". Mike mumbles.

Mike's mom knocks on his room door, he tells her to come in as Toshio dissipates. She had come to check upon him, to see if he's still having trouble sleeping.

"Are you okay"? Mike's mom asks

"I'm fine". Mike answers when he remembered what Franklin told him.

About to leave Mike stops her and asks "how did you and Dad meet"?

"How about you ask him". she says calling him to Mike's room

Reo jogs up to Mike's, he hears the question and answers saying "she was there for me when my father, Grandpa Toshio died". 

"How did he die". Mike asks

"I don't know".Reo lies but Mike could see that remembering hearing his dad's voice in the distorted recording of Toshio's death he and the others heard at Olive's funeral.

"Okay, that's all you guys can go now". Mike says

They leave and Mike goes to bed thinking he knows what happened. He gets in bed and falls asleep.

A hand reaches from the dark they put a sword at his thought, he tries to the transformer but it doesn't work, he calls out to Toshio but he doesn't respond Mike realizes there is nothing around him but darkness. He looks back at the attacker but he vanished. Confused mike sees a single ball of light over 5 chairs set in a circle. Several hands as black as his surrounding wraps around him causing him to jump out of bed.

"What a weird dream". He says to himself.

Meanwhile 

Brandon pulls up at the hidden garage runner by his brother's gang. He gets out calling for Samuel but gets no answer' he goes to the nearest person to him asking for Samuel but he's told that Samuel has gone out in desperation he says to himself  "I told that little fucker to wait here". And runs to his car pulling out his phone and calling Samuel. While it rings he quickly drives out to try finding him.

"Call Sam". Brandon says desperately.

The phone calls for a bit when Sam picks up, before he could answer hello Brandon shouts "where the fuck are you"!

"I was hungry so I went to buy something to eat". Sam says

"Where"!? Brandon asks

"Henry's 711". Sam answers

Brandon drifts on a u-turn and speeds down the road "stay there". He says. He easily dodges cars going over 200mph. When he arrives at the 711 he parks and hops out of his car to see Sam a 13-year-old Mexican boy with black hair and black eyes waiting outside grabs him by the collar and exclaims "why didn't you just stay with Fed".

"He was busy. Sam explains, where were you"?

"None of your business, get in the car".

They get on their way back to the underground garage. Where ikero tells Fed "I paid the kid already, besides I own the ops in this city, why does he need to stay here?

"I don't know why he--". Fed gets interrupted as Brandon and Sam drives in

"Get those two in here, now" Ikero orders.

Brandon and Sam stand in front of Ikero in onward silence broken by Ikero saying y'know what I want to talk to Pablo, alone.

Everyone else gets out leaving Brandon and Ikero alone

"You're protecting him from your self aren't you"? Ikero suppose 

"Is this one of ur twisted personalities sir, cuz I don't know what you're talking about? Brandon says

"You and your friends are enhanced now, thanks to me, or is it, they are too powerful at this stage something isn't adding up my father's design are too complex for them to be able to operate, they have the help you didn't tell me". Ikero says

"The suits came with an A.I. That's physical form can only be seen by us, it teaches us". Brandon explains

"There were no A.I. in the blueprint programs".ikero says

"The A.I. told us about the blueprint programs". Brandon explains

Ikero puts his hand on Brandon's shoulder and looks him dead in the eyes saying "you're afraid they kill Sam". Ikero whispers

"Yeah". Brandon answers

"Fine, I'll keep him here then since you kept your lips sealed so far," Ikero ratifies

The day after Olive's death
Brandon sits alone in his car right outside his house when out of nowhere Sam knocks on his window. 

"What are you doing here homes," Brandon asked before he realizes Sam crying, saying I shouldn't have done it.

"What did you do".Brandon asks

"I killed someone". He mumbles through tears 

"Who, who did you kill". Brandon asked not wanting to believe what he's think

"I don't know, some girl It was a hit". Sam explains

Brandon gets out of his car grabbing Sam by the neck and slams him to the ground.

"Who told you to do this, was it Fed"? Brandon asks

"No, the Boss himself". Sam says

"Why"? Brandon asks

"I don't know".sam says

"Fuck"! Brandon exclaims punching the ground then got up with his hands on his head. He doesn't know what to do. he could easily kill him with his newfound abilities right now and so could the others he thinks to himself but it's his friend, familia who trust him with his life. Brandon looks at Sam laying scared on the ground.
