Mike and Franklin run towards the building, by the time they get there the entire building and everything inside it is gone.
“What just happened, who did this”? Mike asks.
“Nico, I think, the fire looks familiar like one of his spells, he must have teleported”. Franklin answers
“Did you see that thing on his chest? That might have something to do with it”? Mike asks.
“Yeah I did, it reminds me of a hero, what’s his name, Hellstrom”. Franklin says
“Do you think they’re related”? Mike asks, curious and confuse.
In the building, they look for hours to try and find anything that could lead to where Nico could have gone. Later Mike’s friends find them sitting scared and concerned.
“What the hell, where have you been, we’ve been looking for you for hours, you scared us to death”. Allis scolds Mike.
“What happened here”? Jade asks
“I don’t know, Franklin, Nico and I were here to rescue Nico’s friend but then a massive fire broke out and the building disappeared, we can’t find Nico anywhere”. Mike answers.
“Why would Nico be here trying to rescue anyone, I suppose use have to go up against son armed men and who’s Franklin”. Jade asks.
“So these are the friends you told me about,” he says to Mike, he then turns to Mike’s friends introducing himself “hi I’m Franklin”.
They all introduce themselves then Franklin explains to them that Nico was a part of the MOTHS vigilante group. Exhausted and ready to go home they hop in Brandon’s car and leave the site.
“where is summer"? Mike asks.
Jade answers " she said home, I tho k shexs a little shaken up from last night".
"Okay but I gotta admit, I did blow off some steam tonight”. Mike says a bit pumped
“Yeah, I had some fun”. Franklin agrees
Jealous Jason asks “so how come you didn’t let us in on the fun”?
“It was planned to be a stealth mission, by the way, where did you learn to fight like that Franklin, so ninja-like I'm sure your dojo didn't teach you that”.
Franklin asks confused “you dunno”?
“No,” Mike answers, “you’re not seriously referring to your school are you”
“Y’know what I'll show you”. Franklin say then directing Brandon to his house.
There they stay in his bedroom, while Mike and Franklin goes into his father’s room, he finds a hidden framed photo showing two black males and a blond woman dressed in red, black, and green clothing similar to Franklin’s hero outfit under his black cloak.
“What’s your surname again”? Franklin asks him
“I’ve got two,” Mike answers “Kabuto and Adams”
“Where’d you get that name”? Franklin asks
“It’s my mom’s”. Mike answers
Looking at the picture Mike sees that the woman is his mom and one of the black men is his sensei.
“Your mom was definitely one of us, legendary actually, but she was banished along with my dad and your sensei, they were in the same Ryōshi black ops squad, often in the front lines”. Franklin says
“What is this”? Mike asks
Your mom, my dad, and your sensei were in a ninja clan, it’s true. The clan is about 6 decades old but it’s a branch off of a much older clan. Our clan was formed when Gabriel, a prince of the older clan was betrayed by his own squad whom he fought aside; one of their greatest warriors in that squad was possessed by a demon sent to destroy the clan from the inside, which put Gabriel at odds with his own royal bloodline who banished. So he left and formed his Clan, with a few followers. It grew into its own society of highly trained ninja/exorcists with men set across the world “Hanto nashishi clan” your mom and sensei were born into”.
“Hanto nashi, Sin hunter, they hunt demons”? Mike asks
“Right, the seven deadly sins”, Franklin says, “I don’t know why they were banished but I still had a birthright to train with the clan, so I did, you do too but based on your expression this is the first you’re hearing of this”.
“It is, but why do they hunt the seven deadly sins, I didn’t think they were physical beings”? Mike asks
“They fight because they are in a current war against them that started after Gabriel found out the demon that possessed his friend was planted by a rival ninja clan who wanted Gabriel dead, I think, I don’t know all the details and the sins aren’t physical beings, they possess humans from birth”.
“What did the original royal bloodline think Gabriel did”? Mike asks
“They thought he killed his son to stop a rumor of him planning to betray the royal family to get out, but it was the possessed friend of his who killed his son”.
Coincidentally Mike gets a call from his mom, he answers the call “are you okay? where are you? please get home now, I heard there was a big explosion near where you and your friends like to hang out”. his Mom says in concern
“Im fine, I’m at my friend’s house, I’ll leave now”. he says
“Okay, get home safe, just dont do anything stupid now”. She says hanging up
Mike tells Franklin he has gotta go. Before leaving Franklin tells Mike we’ve gotta find Nico tomorrow, Mike agrees and they leave.
Going into his room to take off his suit he lays his sword on the bed.
"That's new". Franklin's hairs behind him; he turns around to see his dad.
"How didn't I hear you come in"? Franklin asks
"We were both trained to be ninjas he" answers taking up one of franklin's sword off the bed inspecting it he says "obsidian edge, carbon fiber body. This is super sharp but the edge isn't as durable you'd have to get it changed often I suppose, you had this for 3 weeks so far maybe".
"No I had it for 3 months actually, it's my first time taking it out". Franklin clarifies
"There is not a drop of blood on it, not even cleaning could get it that clean". His dad says
"I didn't use it". Franklin says
"Why, it's so... Cool"? His dad asks
"I could cut a whole leg off with less force than I use to shave, I'll just use the old one, this is my secret weapon for now". Franklin explains
"This is custom. you haven't gotten your bakemono katana yet have you"? His dad asks
"No". Franklin answers
"What about your UI"? His dad asks
"I got it but I don't use it". Franklin says
"Why"? His dad asks
"My other secret weapon". Franklin says
"What did you name it"? His dad asks
"I named it after you Marcus". Franklin confesses
"that is...ok I guess". Marcus says
"Did you get a new job yet"?Franklin asks
"No one is looking for a detective in LA now but I have a feeling there's gonna be a need for one". Marcus imply
"Why do you say so"? Franklin asks
Ikero stands where the building was; nothing but ash under feet. From the darkness, a voice asks "what are you doing here"?
"What's it to you"? Ikero asks.
"You might be a suspect to this building not being here anymore". 30-year-old Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) says stepping out of the darkness with an arrow some at Ikero
Ikero turns around revealing his face to her. "Ikero"? she asks shiting the aim to the ground.
"Yeah it's men it's a shame I wanted to buy this building". He lies
"You shouldn't be here, it's dangerous". Johnny Watts (fuse) says
"I was just about you leave". He says walking to his car.
