Chapter 13
Noon the next day
Mike in a black jacket with electroluminescent accents on the inside, and olive's glasses, walks into a tall Ikero inc. office building, he goes to the top floor that's a fancy cafeteria where Garret the security guard he spoke to last night sits waiting on him.
Garret greets him telling him to sit. "So what do ya got for me"? He asks
"Look I just want you to tell me where his hideout is, that's all I want, I need to get out of here as fast as I can". Mike says
Garret asks "hideout"? Confused
"He doesn't have a hideout"? Mike asks
"Why would Ikero need a hideout, he's not hiding for anyone"? Garret asks
"Wait, don't you know why I wanted to meet here"? mike asks
"I thought I did, but no". Garret says
"Ikero hired a hit on my… fr-- my Girlfriend and I want him gone". Mike says
"What, aren't you too young to be doing drugs, cus that's illegal"? Garret asks
"Aren't doing drugs, illegal idiot". Mike says
"You're basically telling me to forget everything I know about everything, I can't believe you kid, I'm sorry". Garret says
Mike responds by placing his phone on the table telling him "my friend that I was with last night got this from him in the VIP booth with Ikero".

"She had nothing to do with this". Jade says
"You think I wanted her to suffer, welcome to the real worl--". Ikero says
"That could've been faked".
"I know, but how long do you think it would take us to fake such a thing"? Mike asks
Before being able to answer he sees a small reflection of the sun pointing at them from the building across the street, he pushes a knife off the table saying "I got nothing for you kid sorry".
Mike crouches to pick the knife up off the ground saying "I'll get that" as Garrett's head explodes, splitting brains and blood all over the cafeteria. Instantly Mike morphs into his suit and chaos breaks out. He then starts getting shot at from the building across the street
Mike asks Toshio "what's happening"?
"Sniper, get out of his sights". Toshio answers.
Mike stumbles out of the cafeteria room into an office full of cubicles. "Don't let him get away, you have to jump". Toshio tells him
"What, I'm not gonna make it". Mike says
"Trust me". Toshio says
Mike looks down the Office and through the window at the parking building across the street where the sniper is, he starts running fast causing papers he runs pass to fly up. He jumps through the glass over the street but barely makes it only latching on with his right hand. He pulls himself up to see the sniper getting in his electromagnetically hovering car and speeding off, drifting down to the street level of the parking building.
"Don't let him go". Toshio orders Mike
Mike looks down the twisting asphalt then sums up the courage to jump. He falls 5 story landing to see the sniper gone, there's no way to catch him.
"Did you see his face"? Toshio asks
"No". Mike answers as his heart beats out of his chest
Mike de-morphs and sits to catch his breath saying "I'll just take a nap here, those bullets hurt a lot".
