Chapter 34: Runaway
“Is she going to be okay, I was only joking”.
My eyes slowly opened, bright lights came into my eyes. I covered my face with my hands, I felt someone place a hand on my wrist.
“Thank god your okay,” Olivier pulled me into a hug, on the floor.
“Olivier,” I whimpered, pushing him away, when he noticed my eyes. A frown formed on his lips.
“Prue,” Ash spoke, they were surrounding me with worried expression, but I couldn’t breath it just came out heavy.
“What’s wrong,” Jordan walked through the Ash and Olivier. I backed away, standing up to my feet quickly, my eyes widen. He reached out his hands towards me, and I flinched. “I must die,” I whispered turning around as I ran through the auditorium.
I pulled the doubled doors, before I went through them I heard, “PRUE WHAT ARE YOU DOING”. I closed my eyes and ran though the doors, down the hallways of the empty school.
I should of listened to my parents, they knew all of this everything. They didn’t tell me because I didn’t want to know. Why didn’t I listen! They were only doing what I asked, the front door was clear in my view. Until Ashley came out of the clinic holding an ice pack, she looked at me with a smile. But it turned into a frown, she grabbed my forearm but I pulled away.
“Prue,” she stepped in front of me. “Where are you going?” I didn’t say anything; instead I looked up and gave her a smile. “I just want to get some stuff for the play in the library”.
“Oh, but,” Suddenly there were loud footsteps coming from the right. Ash came into view first his face was serious when he looked at Ashley and I.
“Don’t let her leave,” he yelled, but I already ran pass her and out the front door. I’m sorry, I whispered under my breath as I kept on running away from the school. I have to go back, it took a while but I made it to the icecream parlor.
I was so stupid, I looked around and saw the old pathway, and sprinted down the sideway. Passed a couple of corners, until I started to get tired, I panted as my pace slowed down. But I made it to the road near the slope, I walked over to the edge, there was nothing but water down there. The slope I remember must have had, water underneath, I stared down as I took another step to the edge.
No one should’ve gotten hurt, I was suppose to bring happiness to Olivier yet. I was the one who put him in despair, how could I be so stupid to think of having a friend like him. He was already happy with Jordan, it was me, me who should have never been. It should over been be right, Mrs. Winter.
I could feel a little breeze hit my body gentle as I began to close my eyes. It’s best if I die.
“PRUE,” a voice yelled, I could hear many footsteps I opened my eyes but didn’t turn around to look at them. I already knew who it was.
“Olivier, Jordan, please leave” I spoke quietly, I heard another step.
“ARE YOU CRAZY GET AWAY FROM THERE,” Jordan yelled, I looked over my shoulder.
“No,” I said bluntly.
“No, what do you mean no Prue your going to get hurt.” Olivier proclaimed with concern.
