Chapter 21: The Parents of Jordan

“Mom, Dad I have to go to!” I was sprinting down the stair, when I spotted my Mom and Dad in the living room yelling.

“What are you doing, idiot!” My Mom yelled, bouncing on the sofa as she throws the remote at the T.V.

“The goal was in front of you!” My Dad yelled, right beside my Mom.

They’ve been watching FIFA for hours now, yelling and shouting at the T.V like it can hear them. If it could, it would probably be crying a pool of a tear from the insults. What was even weirder was that Susan was engaged in my parent’s behavior. Sitting in front of the T.V legs crossed, on the floor with a cold stare.

I don’t have time for this. I stepped into the living room; intensely a blast of yelling and shouting came along with it. I hate you FIFA.

The room was filled with hot air and humidity, like the gym in my school. After we finished a day of unreasonable exercising, and sweating. With another step towards the yelling apes, I was a yard apart but could tell they were in a trance.

But I didn’t let that stop me; I need to make to Jordan’s house as quick as possible. So I don’t spend unnecessary time with him, I’m only there for the project nothing else.

“Mom!!” I exclaimed, folding my arms.

No response was given. No surprised, so I turned my head to my dad.

“Dad!” I exclaimed louder, but only got a shooing motion from his hands.

Are you kidding me? There glued to this T.V and nothing was going to stop them, unless.

“Mom, I crashed the car.”

“Dad, I have cracks, in my room windows.”

“Mom, I shot your our neighbor.”

“Dad, I’m pregnant!!!”

But I got nothing; I glanced over at Susan who was viewing the T.V as the player passed the ball to one other. Then I looked over at my parent, clutching their fists together and clenching their teeth in suspense. As the eyed the T.V screen, shaking in their seats.

You know what, I turned on my heels and kneel down next to the T.V. Looking back at me parents, and Susan as they stared deeply into the T.V screen. I placed my hand on the edge of the T.V as I reached my hand behind the T.V. Until I felt the plug, gripping on the wire I pulled it out and heard.

“The Fuck!” From everyone in the room, with annoyed groans.

I stood up from the T.V and headed towards the door. I can walk I’ll just text Jordan, where does he live and meet him there. Instead of being in a car with those apes, since I’ve messed with their T.V.

“Prue!” My Mom yelled, as she marched out of the living room. She glared at me with angry and annoyance as she narrowed her eyebrows at me, and placed her hands hips.

“What was that for?” She exclaimed.

“I pulled out the plug.”

“I know that but why?”
