Chapter 33: Memories

I stood in front of my house, I had no memory of getting here. I was in the auditorium with Olivier and. I pulled back a strand of brown hair out of my face. How did I get here? Suddenly the door opened slowly to reveal two women, I stepped back when I notice who they were. No way.

Olivier’s Mom was talking to my Mom, how, why? There no even arguing, there just laughing and playful pushing each others shoulder. How can this be possible!

“Kids well be kids,” My mother chuckled, as she sat on the bench next to the door.

“But there growing up pretty fast don’t you think.” Olivier’s Mom proclaimed a little sad, as she leaned against the window.

I still couldn’t understand why they were having an actually conversation.

“Nonsense, they maybe growing but that doesn’t mean they’ll forget each other.”

“Yes, yes, I know but,” Olivier’s mom paused when she heard a squeal coming from the door. She moved away, and three kids came running out with goofy smiles. Two of them were running side to side, with one behind chasing after them.

It was a girl who was chasing them, her brown hair in pigtails with a huge smile on her face. She looked happy, the boys stopped running as they turned around to see the girl. I flinched a little noticing they looked familiar. One had misty blue eyes, another had coral peach hair. I shifted my weigh to the side, when the girl started talking.

“Come on,”! She whined, waving her hands above her head. “Its not fair. I was it twice”!

The misty blue boy, stuck out his tongue, “So I don’t want to be it”.

The boy with coral peach hair, raised his hands in surrender, “Come on guys, I’ll be it. Let just not fight”.

The misty blue boy, looked at the boy he shrugged his shoulders at him. “It wouldn’t be fair don’t you think”.

“It’s still not fair that I always have to be it.” The girl pouted, crossing her arms.

Suddenly Olivier’s Mom and my Mom came from behind the girl, my Mom wrapped her arms around the girl lifting her from the floor. She brushed her hair with her fingers, “It’s okay”.

“But Mom,” My eye twitched, ‘mom’, that’s not Susan. How can she be calling mom, unless. That girl is.

Me.

“How about we go out for ice cream,” Olivier’s Mom spoke with a cheeky grin. The two boys nodded feverously as they ran towards Olivier’s Mom’s leg hugging them tight.

Unbelievable..

They started walking towards there cars, putting the children in the respectable car seats. Olivier’s Mom went to sit in the passenger seat, as my Mom went inside putting her car keys in the engine. She turned the key, as the car purred; she pulled the car in reverse. Backing out of the driveway, and drove off down the road.

I rubbed my eyes still stunned, it wasn’t that, that girl was me. Yes, I was surprised but how come I don’t remember this. How come I don’t remember those boys? I pulled my hands from my face, narrowing my eyes as I tighten my grip. I need to find out, maybe this can explain all this weird dreams.
