Chapter 25: The Night That Broke Us

Wait, do they know each other! How was that even possible my mom never told me about her. And if so, why did they start now what’s going on.

“We need to get out now!” I exclaimed, twisting the doorknob. And pushing it open.

“We’re here!” Olivier cheered, coming out of the car too.

Ash groaned, and pulled the door open on his side, rolling his eyes.  Ashley came around the car, and stood next to me. So did Olivier and Ash but I was watching how my mom was yelling and moving her arms around. Mrs. Winter was pointing her chest, as she snorted with disgust.

“Um?” Ash uttered feeling uncomfortable. “Did we come in the wrong time?”

“They don’t seem to like each other very well?” Ashley proclaimed, crossing her arm as she stood.

“Prue isn’t that your mom?” Olivier nudge me with his shoulder, I nodded.

“So your mom knows, Jordan’s mom?”

“I don’t know, I guess?”

“Maybe we should go?” Ashley suggested pulling out her car keys, as she unlocked her car.

There was a loud beep, and click when she did and Mrs. Jordan flinched turning her head ever so slightly. As her eyes glanced over Ashley’s car, and set on mine she gasped. My mom blinked, but turned to see what she was looking at and her eyes widen.

“Prue!” She yelled, marching towards me strong and firm. As her hair swayed through the night breeze.

I backed up into Ashley car, and rubbed my hands on the handle trying to pull it. But notice Olivier shaking from fear, I reached out my hand and gave him a hug instead. Whispering “get in the car and go home. I have to face her myself.”  When I released him he grabbed my elbows pulling me back, but I sighed and tilted my head. “I’ll be okay.” He nodded, and released me. I turned to Ash and Ashley who stared at me with confusion. And I motion them to go back to their car, but they said “No!”.

“We can’t just leave you!” Ash argued.

“You have too!”

“No we don’t; we brought you here!” Ashley exclaimed, sadly.

“Just go!” I yelled, pushing them in the car. Ash thrashed around but I kissed his cheek to calm him down. And he stopped moving, he took a hold of Ashley’s hand.

“What are you doing!?” She shouted, trying to pull away. But he opened the back seat and pushed her inside shutting the door. She banged on the glass, but Olivier only slip in the front quietly but crying on the inside.

“Prue!” My mom yelled, standing in front of me. Her brownish-blonde hair a mess in a ponytail, wearing a gray V-neck and some navy blue jeans. Her eyes shimmering with angry, and fear that swirled into one. As she stared at me hardly, but I only stare emotionless.

“Was that Olivier, next to you?”

I ignored her, shifting my weight from side to side, bouncing lightly on my heel. Her eyebrow twitch from my gesture and she ran her hands through her face.
