—-(G)Ever get that feeling where you never feel like eating? The feeling of complete guilt after you take just one bite?
The feeling of crying yourself to sleep over how much your stomach hurts or getting frustrated about the fact your skin bruises so easily, your frail hair falling out and your nails getting chipped easily? The feeling of disgust after you look at yourself in the mirror and whisper.., "Why am I so pale?" Or, "When was the last time I ate?"
Well, Grian always felt like this. You might've felt this way before but there's no changing that is there now?—
Now the builder was getting hungry. So hungry that it felt as if his insides were churning or twisting it self open. He didn't have any food but he knew there was some spare food in the Sahara meeting room. Although it was only an apple and some crackers, it was enough to keep the builder from completely breaking down when the pain consumed him.
Grian put on his elytra and flew. He flew to Sahara and started eating the snacks.
As he was eating he heard Mumbo walking down the hallway and thought to himself, "At 2 am? Really?"
Grian got up with the apple in his hand to ask why he was here."Yo mumbo! It's weird seeing you here at 2 am, what're you up to?"
"I'm... doing paperwork. Like you should be doing instead of eating the apple in your hand."
"Relax it's only an apple and some crackers, I'll be done in no time."
"Grian aren't you eating a little much?"
"H.. huh?" The builder's voice cracked as he was caught off guard.
"I said, you're eating too much. You should stop eating and go do your paperwork first."
"Mumbo I haven't-"
"I don't want to hear it Grian. Go do you're paperwork, put the food away."
"Mumbo-"
"Shut up. I don't want to repeat it. You're disgusting, every time I see you, you're eating."
"I-.. I'll be right back mumbo."
Grian put on his elytra and flew up to the roof of Sahara. Instantly, his heart started aching. Tears started pouring down his face. Grian wanted to live, he wanted to stay alive so his friends could star happy but.. with his stomach hurt, his head spinning and hands trembling. Can he make it?
Can he... I make it till the next season?
...
Grian was interrupted by Xisuma, the admin flying by.
Xisuma was confused on why he says a red blob on top of Sahara. Turns out it was Grian. The admin rushed up to find him but the second he made it onto the roof, Grian had already flew away.—-
It had been a week since that day. Grian had been letting himself get hurt as he was too afraid to do it himself.
His knees and elbows were scraped. Face and arms filled with bruises.
The silence was interrupted by a phone ringing. It was the admin.Grian picked up.
"Hello? Grian?"
"H..hey?"
"Oh, Grian! Just checking in. Are you alright?"
"yea.."
"Are you really alright Grian?"
"..."
"I'm going to hang up.."
"Wait Grian-"
beep.
Grian placed down his phone and looked himself in the mirror. Was he alright?
When was the last time he talked to someone? When was the last time he didn't feel his knees stinging and throbbing with pain?
When was the last time he went to Sahara?
When was the last time he ate?Xisuma was worried about Grian so he made his way to the builder's base, knocking on his bedroom door.
"Grian..?"
"X-xisuma.."
"Can I come in?"
"Okay." Grian opened the door and let xisuma in. The admin gasped when he saw Grian's bruised body."Grian are you-"
"Xisuma," Grian whispered, laying his head down on his shoulder.
"Grian-"
"Xisuma am I okay..?"
"... huh?"
"Am I okay?"
"Well.. yea I think you're-" xisuma was interrupted by a thud. That thud was Grian. His body giving up on itself as it fell onto the ground.
"Grian..?"
"Xisuma call.. call doc.."
And so xisuma did.
—-
"There's no better explanation to this. Grian's not eating. You can see his ribs and how insanely malnourished he is." Doc informed.
"Grian told he'd been eating regularly.." xisuma sighed.
"X he was lying. It's the truth but I'll make sure grian eats regularly when he wakes up alright?"
"Promise doc?"
"I promise."
—-
"Grian. Wake up," Doc whispered, tapping on Grian's shoulders.
The builder rubbed his eyes and got up but as the memories came back of what he did that day, Grian jumped out of the bed doc had put him in.
Doc sighed as he walked toward the builder with a plate in his hands. "Grian, I'm going to feed you."
"No-"
"Yes."
".."
"Yes. Now come here."
—-
A few minutes later doc was satisfied with all the food he shoved- I mean, made Grian eat.
It was only one-fourth of the plate but it was enough. Baby steps right?Anyways. The second doc left the room Grian felt as if he was going to puke. His head was spinning with thoughts. Thoughts that repeated, "you're so fat"
"you disgust me"
"you eat too much"
"don't you think you've eaten a little too much?"
"FUCKIGN LEAVE ME ALONE !!" Grian cried, yelling at the top of his lungs. His knees gave out and hit the ground, his breath erratic and tears pouring down his face.Doc busted down the door to see Grian, crying. He rushed to the builder and held his face in his hands.
As their eyes met, Doc pulled the builder into a hug and Grian felt warmth. The warmth so calming and comfy. Something you'd feel in the winter when wrapping yourself in blankets."Doc..?"
"Shh... it's alright Grian."
The two smiled as doc promised to help the builder get though all of this.
End.
