♡Chapter : 23♡

"My damage chose you, my healing let you go"
 

 
     

              

As his lips were pressed to y/n's forehead, he noticed movement in the hand he was holding.

He pulled away only to realize that Y/n was finally getting her consciousness back.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Taehyung showered her face with kisses all over it while his eyes became glossy because of the tears that were threatening to fall any time soon.

Taehyung stopped only to look again at her making sure that he was not hallucinating. He hugged her tightly to his chest and said, "Thank y-you for waking up...I m-missed you soo much! It's a relie-"

"Who are you?"

Taehyung froze on his spot as he heard her words
 

He didn't want to believe that he heard the right thing while jungkook himself was shocked before he ran to bring the doctor. 

"W-What? Y/n, don't s-scare me like that. I know I did wrong but don't pretend to not even remember me, p-please! You know I'm so damn sorry for everything that I said! I know that my apologies can't undo whatever happened that day but please give me another chance to make this all right.", Taehyung said while trying to find any hint of forgiveness in Y/n's eyes but her expressions were still the same as before. She still looked as clueless as before.

Meanwhile, Jungkook came back with the doctor following behind him. As soon as Y/n saw Jungkook, she called out to him. "Jungkook, Why am I in this hospital?! Just what the hell happened to me?! And who is he?!" 

This shocked both of the guys even more now. They looked at each other in horror.

"What are you sa-"

"Can you both please leave the room for a moment? I need to examine the patient.", Dr. Jin said cutting Taehyung off before signaling the nurse to get the two men out of the room.

As they left the room Jungkook glanced towards Taehyung who was now standing with the support of the wall behind him.

"She was just messing with me, wasn't she?" Taehyung asked without looking back at Jungkook.

"I hope so, Hyung." Jungkook said now feeling a bit bad for Taehyung.

"I'm having a bad feeling about this..." Taehyung said finally looking up at him with a scared expression on his face.

Soon, Jin came out of the room with a troubled look on his face.

"What's wrong with her, doctor?!" Taehyung and jungkook asked at the same time.
"Come with me." Jin said ignoring their question and taking both of them to his office.

He took a seat and started analysing Y/n's reports carefully and taking notes from it.

As soon as he was done, he shifted his gaze from the reports to the men eagerly waiting for him to speak up.

"Let me ask you a few questions before I explain about her situation.", Jin said.

"Alright. Go ahead." Taehyung said as both of them nodded at him nervously.

"From what she said earlier, she clearly remembers you, Mr. Jungkook. And about you, Taehyung-shi, she doesn't remember anything. So, who was the first one to meet her from both of you?" Jin asked as Taehyung raised his hand instantly. 

"I was the first one to meet her. Jungkook is my friend so I introduced him to her later."

"So that means that she didn't lose her memories from a certain time period as I assume three of you surely hung out together often. If she did then she wouldn't have been able to remember Mr. Jungkook too. Also, I asked her a few questions and from what I came to know of that, she remembers everything except some certain incidents. She said that there are certain memories that are kind of blurry and it's like something important is missing from those. So, there's one thing I want to ask you, Mr. Taehyung. Did you fight with her just before the accident? Like a quarrel or something in between you two?" Jin asking taking a breath.

"Yeah. Kind of.", Taehyung said in a low voice that the other two men in the room almost didn't hear him.

"Kind of? That was definitely a fight." Jungkook said rolling his eyes.
 

Jin sighed and said, "Listen carefully to what I'm going to say...Whatever happened in between you two impacted her mentally a lot. The impact was so terrible that it made her forget every single memory of you both. When the accident happened, at that time she was most probably thinking about whatever happened in between you two. She was trying to not think about you or you can say erase your all memories and that's what exactly happened. Her brain erased the specific memories which holded you in it." Jin said with a sorry look to Taehyung.

Hearing his words, Taehyung was on the verge of crying at this point. "D-Doctor, how i-is that ev-even p-possible...?" Taehyung managed to ask while fighting the urge to break into tears. 
 

"It is possible. It happens when someone really close to our heart hurts us and then we try to forget them. It's usually hard to do so but because of the accident, it all became an easy task. You see, our human body is manufactured in such a way that it always finds a way to protect itself. Her brain parts were already in shock and then the impact of accident..." 

Taehyung wasn't able to hold his emotions in anymore. He ran out of the office towards Y/n's room and looked at her from the small round space of transparent glass on the door. "This is all because of me.*sniff*Everything happened because of me.*sniff*It's all my fault*sniff*..."
