Chapter 2

Xander's POV

"Thanks, Mom" I thanked my mother as she passed me my plate.

Tonight, we are having one of those family dinners. My sister is moving out. The dinner is some sort of farewell. I don't understand why we are having this farewell. My sister will be coming here almost every other day, she just wants to have her own apartment so that she can do whatever she wants and sneak her boyfriends and all, but I chose to be quiet and simply enjoy my meal. I have nothing to complain, the food is great. Keeping my opinions to myself is the key for peace in such situation.

"Yum Mom, you are the best ! I am going to miss your food " said my sister , Alina.

"You can always come here. I will send you food every now and then." replied my mom. She loves to cook and feed people. It's her secret mission to feed everyone.

"No, she can't get food as us. She moved out. She chose her freedom over us." said Ali. Alina and Ali are my twin siblings. "If she gets her food delivered daily then I will also move out. Deliver for me as well". Ali added, sulking a little.

"So, the only thing holding you here is the food, you whale! Mom, he does not love you, he loves your food ONLY", replied Alina with a smirk, she is always smart with her words. My mom sighed as she served dinner for my cousins – Luciana and her sister Lily.

My father, Arthur and uncle, Luca are now retired. My father was the alpha before me and uncle took care of real estates of Springfield. My mother, Esme and aunt, Florence also sits down with their dinner. As my mother dedicates her life to be a home-maker and care taker, she has taken care of all of us, our neighbours, friends, friends' friend and even some strangers. Aunt Florence is a doctor and loves her job. She spends most of her time in hospital taking care of all who needs her. Therefore, my cousins call my mother mom (just like we do) and aunt Florence mama.

Luciana is same age with my twin siblings. They are 19 years. Luciana has taken all the qualities of my mother. Most of the time, they are tending other people or cooking something for other. My sister is opposite of my mom. A party animal who mostly calls me or Ali drunk and wasted to pick her up from her parties. I seriously don't know what she wants in life. Ali is the quiet twin, thoughtful and calculative most of the time. But I know he has my back. I discuss with him about my work time to time. I want us to be close like my father and uncle, having each other's back. Lily is the baby of the family. She is only 14. I still don't know how she will be as a person, but at the moment she is always demanding something or the other. I am the oldest son of the family, Alexander Jannes Knight, Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack. 25-year-old.  

"Go TOMORROW MORNING Alina" Ali yelled.

"NO, she will go tonight. Its auspicious day. Ali, don't make me repeat me. Go and drop your sister. She can't carry all luggage alone" threatened my mom.

"You are spoiling her. She can go now and I will take the luggage tomorrow. I have work tomorrow morning" pouted Ali.

"I will take her" I volunteered. My wolf was acting weird and so I wanted to hang out in the town tonight to distract him.

"No honey, you must be tired. Take rest. Ali will do it"

"So, it was NOT about dropping Your Highness Alina. It was about making me work" Ali yelled.

"Ali, your brother ..."

"I wanted to go out to the town with William and Dexter, it's still early and it has been a while since we hanged out. Alina, I will get your things in my car, we will leave in 15mins. " I cut my mom. I mind-linked William and Dexter. Wolves of same pack can mind link each other. We can also block people whenever we want by closing the mind link.
