Chapter 6

Xander's POV

Third week, Monday

Days went by, Nights came and left.... but her scent never left my mind. Sometimes when I am alone, my thoughts wandered about my mate. Will I ever meet her? What if I never find her?

I took a deep breath and shrugged off the feeling. My wolf whimpers just thinking about never meeting his mate. I step out of my office and went to kitchen to find Alina eating something.

"Alina, how are you? What are you doing here at this time?" I asked as I went to the fridge to find something to eat.

"Hello Xander, I am doing great. I was feeling low so I came here to eat some soul food. I will stay for dinner as well. You tell me, how is things?"

"All good, Same old same old..."

"Well, for your information, I am kind of friends now with Aditi. She is shy so it is taking sometime. Actually, I bumped into her in the park and we decided to walk together, talking and all. I also invited her for dinner at my place but she was busy. I kind of like her anyways. As I said, she is little shy but so nice and great listener. Honestly, I enjoyed her company."

I was listening to her while eating the chips.

"You are kind of boring person. I just told you something and you don't even react!" I smiled at her and drank my coke.

"If your mate is a quiet person then you are going to have the most awkward relation ever. "I smiled even more and asked "How is your studies?"

"Same old same old.. " she rolled her eyes and continued, "I will kepp you posted. Just one more week and I will meet the roommate... what was her name again?"

"Mishka Singh.."

"HA! You know her name already, lover boy", she nudged an elbow and smirked at me. I ignored her and started to walk away towards my office.

"Your secret is safe with me, big brother" she shouted out for me in a joyful tone.

It's Saturday afternoon. Weekdays always flies too soon. Me, William and Frank, our pack's business representative, are heading for a business dinner. We are meeting a jewelry company representative to discuss our partnership. Frank will do most talking and discuss the deals further.

It was around 22Hrs when I parked my car in front of my apartment. A family was trying to unload a few suitcases. The mother was holding a child and the father was carrying a few bags himself. I helped the man with his bags till the elevator door and proceeded to climb the stairs. When I reached my floor met them again, stepping out the elevator. That is when it clicked to me, it was the undercover family.

"Oh,, hi again, you live here?" asked the wife.

"Yeah, I moved recently."

"I am Geet, we have been living here for past 2 years now. Once we settle down, come to our place for coffee."

"Yeah sure. Thanks for inviting. Do you need some help?"

"No thank you. I have got them" replied the husband. "I am Rahul, by the way."

"Nice to meet your family. Goodnight".

"Goodnight" they both replied and I went inside. Taylor, my scout was standing by the door.

"Hello Alpha, I heard people so I was just peeking out and listening."
