the school day went smoothly, and yeonjun found himself screaming into his pillow. how could one be so adorable!! he couldn't get the bunny out his head, but to be honest...he didn't want to. everything about the younger made yeonjun's inside feel mushy and-

"why the hell are you screaming?!" huening kai screamed back through the window. coincidentally, both they boys' bedroom windows were directly opposite to each other. yeonjun removed the pillow from his face and blushed from embarrassment. "u-uh...well..."

"now you're being gay." yeonjun interrupted. huening kai smirked and lay on the bed beside his hyung. "i'm guessing choi soobin is the reason right? are you gonna meet him at that aesthetic place again?"

"hmm...maybe i can text him and see when he's free..." yeonjun took out his phone and hyuka gasped. "no way...you have his number?!"

"yah! stop bursting my eardrums, my mum's sleeping!" yeonjun whined, pushing the maknae away. hyuka shyly smiled in apology. "sorry...is your mum getting any better...?" yeonjun sighed and shook his head. "the medication worked for a while, but i guess it's untreatable at this point."

"still, it must be tough...i never thought she'd develop schizophrenia," kai mumbled. yeonjun's mother was like a second mother to him, since his mother was more of a work person than a house person. "i blame that sad excuse of a man she's still married to."

"your dad? yeah, he should've looked after her before it was too late!" yeonjun smiled at the anger they both shared. "jun?"

"yeah?"

huening kai pouted. "make sure you tell me if you have any symptoms okay? i-i'm not your husband or whatever, but i'll look after you!" yeonjun cooed and cuddled him. "aw, i promise! but i won't get sick,"

"you never know...it runs in families, jjun!"

yeonjun frowned for a second, a little concerned, but then he shook his head. "it's alright, it won't happen to me.

soobin was studying like a good student should, when taehyun burst into his room. "he's so infuriating!"

"good afternoon to you too, tae." soobin dead-panned, writing something down. "can't he just drop dead until i leave or something?!"

"i assume you're talking about my brother."

"yes! he doesn't know how to shut up!" taehyun complained, laying on the elder's bed. "if you're that irritated, go hang out with huening-"

"oh god no. he's just as loud and annoying." taehyun huffed. soobin shrugged and put on his chill studying playlist. life goes on filled the air and taehyun visibly relaxed.

"better?" soobin asked, starting to write again. "yeah, thanks."
