did I get in?

Today was the day everyone at school has been waiting for. Seeing what collages we got accepted to

Me and my best friend Daisy have waited for this day for years to see if we get into Prince collage

It's the nearest collage to us so our parents were happy and kept reminded us that we were always welcomed home

I got home from school at 2:45 and walked to the kitchen to see my mum and dad talking quietly

Once my dad saw me he said

"Hey sweetheart"

"Hi dad"

"Hey honey"

"Hi mom"

I ask the both "did I get a letter from Prince?"

"Here" my dad handed me the letter

My mom stood behind me placing her hands on my shoulders encouraging me to open the letter

I slowly open the letter and read the first line

Dear Miss Martyn,

Congratulations, on behalf of Prince collage I am pleased to announce your admission to Prince collage

I begin to cry out of happiness

I just got accepted to my dream collage

My dad gives me a massive bear hug and then my mum gave me a hug

"I'm so proud of you" my dad said to me

"I'm so happy for you Lily" my mum praised me

"Thank you" I said while wipeing tears away

My phone starts to ring and it's Daisy calling

I answer the phone to hear her ask me "did you get in?"

"I did" I reply starting to cry again

"We got in lils" she shouted

"I can't stop crying zee"

"We fucking did it"

"Daisy your on speaker"

"Oh, I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Martyn"

"Daisy please call us Ashley and Ryan your practically family"

"Sorry Ashley"

"I'm proud of both of you" my dad said

"Thank you Ryan"

"Ok zee I'll talk to you later"

"Yeah bye lils, Ashley and Ryan"

I end the call and release a breath I didn't even know I was holding in

I done it. I got into my dream school
