meeting her parents

Hunter's POV

To say I wasn't nervous was an understatement. Today I was going to meet Lily's parents. We have been talking about meeting her parents since my mom meet her

Earlier that day

Lily walks into my room as I've just come out of the shower with a towel wrapped around me. She quickly covers her eyes and looks in a different direction

I chuckle at how adorable she is being. I walk up and hug her from behind and whisper in her ear "baby there is no need for you to be shy"

She turns around and uncovers her eyes and looks up at me with a heavy blush covering her cheeks

I bring my face closer to her and kiss both of her cheeks and her lips

I ask her to wait a minute for me to get dressed and I walk into my closet and begin to get ready. I dress in a plain white T-shirt and a hoodie over it incase Lily gets cold and plain black skinny jeans with white airforces

I walk out to see Lily laying on my bed. She is wearing a white lace camie with black skinny ripped jeans and black converse

I join her on the bed and pull her closer to me. I play with her hair that I know she loves it when I play with her hair and whisper in her ear "your so beautiful"

She turns to me and whispers back "your so handsome"

We cuddle for a few more minutes talking about random things until she asked if today I wanted to meet her parents

This has been something I've been dreading for the high chance that they won't think I'm good enough for their daughter. She can get anyone she wants yet she choose me

I will never understand how she doesn't see any of my mistakes and my bad judgement but she is with me and I will make sure she never regrets thats decision

She says "I can see that you're worrying about meeting my parents I was the same with meeting my mom" I was going to interupt and say she done amazing meeting my mom but she placed a finger on my lips and shushed me and she continued on by saying "but I know my parents I've lived with them for 18 years and in all that time I've never bought someone home for them to meet so they know me and you are serious"

I just looked up at aw and pulled her in for a bear hug

I then said to her "I guess today is the day I'm meeting your parents" and a massive smile broke out onto her face, she kissed me and then ran into her room and got her essentials and then said "let's go"

Pressent time

So now I'm standing outside of Lily's childhood home ready to meet her parents

Her mom opens the door and I can clearly see that Lily is like the mini version of her mom. She quickly is embraced in a hug and then her mum looks at me gives me a big smile and says "you must be Hunter, Lily hasn't stopped talking about you I'm so glad to finally meet you"

"You too Mrs Martyn" I reply

"Dont worry Hunter you can call me Ashley"

"Well it's nice to meet you Ashley" I say to her with a small smile

Then I see her dad standing off to the side looking at me with no smile until Lily quickly makes her way over to him when he starts to smile

He wispers something in her ear and she smiles and nods while looking at me

I introduce myself to her dad "hello sir I'm Hunter its very nice to meet you"

He unexpectedly pulls my hand into a firm handshake and says "don't worry about the formalities just call me Ryan"

I give a smile to both of her parents as Lily makes her way to stand by me

She looks up to me and says "I can see they already like you"

I say back "I'm very glad"

I can see that she is starting to shivering so I take off my jacket and place it on her and where it is so oversized on her she looks even cuter

Her parents look at me with approval and say that dinner is ready

We make our way into the dinning room and I sit next to Lily and her dad and mom sit together

They ask me about my life, interests and how me and Lily meet

We both tell them the story of how we meet causing them to laugh

After dinner her dad asks to speak with me and we walk off into his study

I sit in the chair directly infront of his desk he starts out by quizing me on Lily and I get every question right and then asks me what are my intentions are with their daughter I said simply "to one day ask you and Ashley for permission to marry your daughter"

He sits back in his chair thinking for a few seconds when he gives me a smile and says
"She has never brought anyone home and promised me and her mom that when she did it was going to be the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with"

I smile at him comment and add on to say

"I've never properly dated anyone but with Lily I want to make everything perfect and it would break me if I ever upset her or made her angry at me"

"Well Hunter as long as you keep her happy I have no problems with you dating my daughter" we shake hands and then walk out to find the girls

I find them in the living room chatting Lily see me first and taps the seat next to her inviting me to sit with her and she cuddles into my side. I kiss the crown on her head and we stay at her parents house for another hour until we take our leave her mum hugging both of us and her dad giving me a hand shake as we leave

I get in the car and tell her about mine and her dads chat while in his study. After I was done telling her she gives me a kiss of the cheek and tells me she loves me and I say I love her more
