The next day, Sophie's face was blotched red from crying in the morning. She desperately wanted to avoid her cheating boyfriend, but today was a school day and she had to go to school. Reluctantly, Sophie got dressed. She was about to put on a gray shirt and a pair of black pants when her closet got her thinking. Maybe she could make Fitz jealous...
Sophie decided to go with a cute, navy blue top and a denim skirt. For extra effect, she put on fishnet stockings and she put her hair in a ponytail. She grabbed an extra large coat and a small panda purse. This jacket was one of her favourites because of the pockets. They were really big.Outfit down below:
After getting dressed, Sophie went downstairs and ate breakfast. Her parents usually left for work at an animal rehabilitation centre before Sophie woke up. She ate the breakfast that was prepared for her and left out the door, towards the Vackers' home.Sophie noticed that many boys stared at her when she walked by. They couldn't even recognize her! She knocked at the Vackers' front door and the one person she hoped to avoid answered.
"Fitz."
"Hi Soph..." he trailed off, staring at her as she entered and Sophie quickly hid her blush. Fitz never looked at her like this—and she couldn't decide if she liked it or not.
Biana came out of her room as Sophie approached the bedroom door and gaped at Sophie. "Sophie?" she asked in disbelief. "I'd that really you?"
"Yep. Who else would have my freaky brown eyes?" answered Sophie.
"Psh! Your eyes are fine."
"Easy for you to say! You got teal eyes! Teal!"
"And so does Fitz," said Biana, smirking.
Sophie's smile dropped. "Yeah."
Biana looked at Sophie. "What happened?"
"He-he kissed Sti-Stina," stammered Sophie.
Fire blazed in Biana's eyes as she processed this new information she had just received.
"HE DID WHAT?!!!" Biana shrieked, making Sophie jump."It's fine, it's fine," assured Sophie.
"No it is not," said Biana, firmly. "He cannot go around cheating on poor girl like that. The last girl moved out of the city because of him!"
"Why do you think I'm dressed like this?"
asked Sophie. "I'm gonna get sweet sweet revenge."Biana smirked evilly. "Count me in."

Soon Sophie and the Vackers had to get to school so they set off towards Foxfire, their school that was named after a glowing fungus. Sophie was still puzzled at why the 'most prestigious school' in the town was named after a freaking glowing fungus. Fitz's eyes stayed on Sophie for the entire walk and it was awkward. When they got to school, they were greeted by stares. Stina ran up to Fitz and immediately shot Sophie a death glare that could have buried her six feet under. Sophie rolled her eyes at Stina and walked away. She bumped into a familiar person while she was walking towards her locker. "Keefe?"
"Hey Foster!" he smiled.
"I didn't know that you came here," she said. "Did you just start today?"
Keefe smirked. "I guess my awesomeness wasn't enough to catch the attention of the Mysterious Miss F." Keefe waved his hands around, dramatics at her new nickname and Sophie rolled her eyes.
"Keefe!" she exclaimed. "Really? The Mysterious Miss F?"
"Yeah!" replied Keefe. "You like it?"
"I prefer Foster," answered Sophie. "Hey Keefe?"
"Hey Foster?"
Sophie couldn't help but giggle at Keefe's childishness. Then she got serious. "I caught Fitz cheating," she whispered. "Can you help me get at him?"
Keefe's hands curled into fists. "Another girl? I'm in."
