"Hey Austin," greeted Sophie, noticing the boy somewhat close to her.
"Hey Sophie," replied the brown-haired boy.
"Hiya Foster!" echoed a loud voice.
Sophie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. Keefe was really loud and always would be. "Hey."
"Hey? Couldn't you sound a bit more excited to see your favourite Lord Hunkyhair?"
"Hunkyhair?" asked Austin, clearly confused.
"Oh. Hi... Aust..."
"Austin."
"Oh. Hey."
Keefe's expression was unreadable. You'd have to be able to sense his emotions to find out what he was feeling. You'd have to be an empath. He looked kind of annoyed. Aggravated. Slightly pissed. A bit irratated.
"Actually, bye. I need to talk to Dex about something secret." Then Keefe set off running. Half a minute later Dex came running over to Sophie and Austin.
"Hey guys. Have you seen Keefe?"
"Yeah. He went that way," answered Sophie, pointing in the direction Keefe ran off in.
"Thanks!" Dex bolted off running.
In ten seconds, Keefe was standing beside Sophie and Austin. "Where's Dex?"
"Went over there."
"Thanks!"
A few minutes after Keefe left, Dex ran into Sophie. "Do you know-"
"Where Keefe is?" interrupted Sophie. "Yes, he went that way."
Dex ran off leaving Sophie alone with Austin. Dex probably found Keefe because they never came back.
Austin opened his mouth to say something, but Sophie's attention turned to her phone.

"I'm going to the new cafe from across the street," said Sophie. "Do you wanna come too?"
"Sure," shrugged Austin. "It's not like I have anything else to do."
The two high school students set off across the street to the new cafe. The walk was silent and uncomfortable. Sophie's muscles relaxed when they reached the cafe. Bells jingled as Sophie opened the door into the building.
"Hey Soph," greeted Biana as Sophie made her way to her table.
"Hi Bi."
"Hello," said Austin, trailing after the blonde-haired girl.
"Hi..." replied Biana, uncertainly.
Sophie and Austin sat down. No one spoke for a few minutes before the doors of the cafeteria burst wide open. There stood Dex beside Keefe. Keefe's chest was puffed out. Dex stood beside him looking a tad bit less certain, but they were there. Making a huge entrance.
