Damon

The first time I saw her I couldn't believe my eyes. Her flowing brown hair and beautiful pale skin against her blue and gold cheerleader outfit mesmerized me.Her scent drifted all the way to the tree I was perched in, a mere seventy feet away. I was on my way to my brother Stefan's house when she appeared right in front of my nose. She was just breath taking. The vein in her neck looked absolutely succulent. She was walking down the road in the direction of the tree I was in and I just decided to hop down right behind her.

"Um, excuse me Miss, do you mind telling me where the Salvatore property is?" I asked though I already knew the answer--I am over a century old.

"Holy crap, you scared me! Where'd did you come from?" She asked her voice like sweet temptation in my ears, her scent up close was driving me insane. I could hear her young heart pumping the sweet nectar through her veins. I couldn't decided if I want to take a drink right then or save her for later.

"Uh, well ya see, I was just strolling down this road and I guess you didn't see me, but I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm kinda lost." I said in my best suave voice.

"I would love to show you but I can't, my school is having our annual bonfire and I'm kinda of head cheerleader so I should get back," she said with an adorable smile, that would make my heartache if it were working.

"But what if I don't want you to leave?" I said to her as she started to eye me suspiciously. "

Well I'm not really sure if what you want matters, seeing that you're a stranger," she said as she began to walk away.

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you, wish you could remember this moment though." I said as I started walking towards her I had to compel her to forget that I ever existed. No one was supposed to know that I was in town yet, this would kind of put a damper on that. I caught up to her and grabbed her by the back of the neck to make her look into my eyes.

"You can't go just yet, I need you to forget everything I ever said to you, my face, my voice, my everything." I said as she stared back at me with her pupils dilating.

"Okay." she replied, I pivoted on my heel and disappeared into the woods.

"Elena come on we're about to set the fire." A blond haired girl said running up to her and grabbing her hand.

"Uh, yeah okay." Elena said, she stared around not really sure what she was looking at or for. "Elena," I whispered to myself while watching her walk away.

"We'll meet again." And with that I whisked away.

Elena

I was so excited for tonight. I was going to be with my girls, and it was the night of the bonfire. The only thing I was not excited for was seeing Matt.Matt has been acting really weird lately and isn't the same person I started dating freshmen year. It was almost the first week of school and I didn't want to start my junior year off with a bad mood. That's what Matt always put me in, a bad mood.

"Elena are you ready to go?' I could hear Caroline say as she walked into my house. We were such good friends that we never knocked on each other doors.

"Yeah, hurry up Elena, we're going to miss all the fun!" Bonnie added. I was in my room putting finishing touches on my makeup.

"Good thing you're doing something to cover that monster up." my stupid little brother said.

"Shut up Jeremy and get out of my room." I said to, throwing a pillow at the door frame he was standing in.

"Okay Elena, don't keep Caroline and Bonnie waiting all night!" My aunt yelled from downstairs. I ran down the steps taking two at a time.
