Old Friends

Damon

Stefan and I was sitting on the floor for a long time just being in a comfortable silence. Until we heard scruffing along the floors of the cave.

"DAMON, STEFAN, ARE YOU IN HERE?" It was Elena. I went to the force field and started banging on it.

"Elena, we're back here!" I screamed and then I saw her beautiful face come around the corner. I fell to my knees and sighed with relief.

"Oh Damon, I found that stupid witch, and she sent me to more than three different caves. Until we finally came across this one. I'm so glad I found you." Bonnie appeared behind her with a grimoire in her hands and sat down on the ground. She placed candles in a cirlce around her, then lit them, and chanted something in a different language.

"Elena, I'm so glad you came." I said as I looked into her eyes.

"It's done." Bonnie said and I ran out and gathered Elena in my arms. I held her close until I heard something mumbling.

"Damon, you're crushing me." I looked down and saw that Elena was now turning a bright red and I quickly released her.

"I'm so sorry." I said to her and she started to giggle.

"I'm happy to see you too." She said. Stefan was standing over near Bonnie who looked really nervous, I could tell from the blush that appeared on her cheeks.

"Thank you Bonnie, for saving us." Stefan said looking down at her and she began to blush a deeper shade of red.

"Let's get out of here." I said and walked out of the cave with everyone in tow.

Elena

When I got off the phone with Damon I looked at Bonnie and waited for her to answer.

"Elena, I don't think this is a good idea but, I'll help just because you're here and you're apart of this too." She said looking me right in my eyes. Bonnie and I had a lot to talk about, but not right now.

"Listen I need your help? Damon is in trouble and Stefan is with him. Will you help me?" I asked her.

"Stefan? Is he okay? Where is he? Oh my goodness I hope he's alright." She said full of concern and I just smirked at how she was acting. It was clear that she liked Stefan and I was hoping that that would help fuel her into coming.

"He's in New Orleans and locked in a cave."

"How are they locked in a cave?"

"They say that a witch has them locked in the cave by an invisible force field. Damon says you need to bring you're grimoire to find the spell."

"Let's go." she said and I turned to walk to Elijah.

"Damon needs my help and I'm going to him." I told him instead of asking him.

"Be careful, love and come back in one piece." he said looking straight into my eyes and I nodded to him. We walked all the way to Bonnie's house and drove to New Orleans. We found the shop "Imona's" In between two large shops. At first we could barely see it. The short witch refused to give us a direct location and told us that it was one of the three caves on the horizon. Whatever that meant. After a long journey the last cave was finally the one we needed to go to. I called Damon's name while running down the halls of the cave. I finally heard his voice as relief washed over me. I saw him banging on the invisible force field and I ran to it. I made sure to stop short of the wall so it wouldn't affect me. I looked into his eccentric blue eyes and knew that in that moment that there was nothing I wouldn't do for him. Bonnie did her magic and the field was lifted. Damon almost smothered me in his embrace. I was astonished that he was just as happy to see me as I was for him.
