Elena

At the end of the day I saw Stefan talking to Bonnie and I made my way over to them. When Stefan heard me approach he looked in my direction and gave me a small smile.

"Did everything go as planned?" he asked me as I finally reached them.

"Yep, he should be out here any minute." I said, then I looked in Bonnie's direction and she also gave me a small smile, but I couldn't return it. I don't think she knows but she really hurt my feelings when she never came to my aid, or asked what's wrong.

"Hi, Elena." she said to me and I couldn't find the words to speak, there was just so much I wanted to say.

"Hi." I finally muttered. I felt a hand on the small of my back and turned to see a smiling Mr. Saltzman.

"Are we ready to go?" he asked looking down at me, he was kind of taller than I thought. I looked to Stefan and he nodded at me.

"I believe so." Stefan then lead us to his car and we all piled in, me in the front, Bonnie and Mr. Saltzman in the back.

"Um, why is he coming again?" Bonnie asked gesturing to Mr. Saltzman. I couldn't answer that question besides saying that Elijah wanted him there, so I shrugged.

"Because, I'm a vampire hunter." he said in a matter-of-fact tone. Bonnie's eyes grew in wonderment.

"Well, isn't that lovely." I said and glanced in the rearview to look at him. He shrugged back at me and continued to stare out the window. When we reached the Wickery Bridge Stefan let us out and immediately drove away. I didn't think anything of but Bonnie was incredulous.

"Where is he going? He can't leave us with some stranger." she said.

"He's not a stranger, not to me at least." I said muttered.

"Aah, my dearest Elena, so glad you could make it with your friends." Elijah said as he walked up to me and placed a kiss on my forehead. I could feel Mr. Saltzman stiffen beside me.

"Elijah." I greeted him. I didn't feel him as a threat anymore, I don't know if its because the pendant was humming and filling me with a sense of comfort or that I knew that he wasn't going to hurt me. I felt someone pulling me away from him and I didn't like it. I looked up to see Mr. Saltzman.

"Don't be so possesive Alaric, she is a big girl. She can sense danger as well as anyone. Do you sense any danger Elena?" Elijah asked me.

"No, none at all." I replied.

"Good, now let's get on with it. Ah, hello Bonnie Bennett, I knew your grandmother Sheila when she was a young girl." He said turning to face her fully. Bonnie didn't look as if she liked him much and wanted to run to town as fast as she could.

"How do you know my grandmother?" she asked him eyes filled with bewilderment.

"Darling I know your great-great-great grandmother." he chuckled. Her eyes grew even wider and I just had to giggle at her reaction. She shot a glare my way and I just shrugged. All of this was no longer surprising to me anymore. If he said he had a two headed dog, I would probably want to pet it.

"Oh, c'mon Bonnie, he's an original." I said to her but she refused to change her facial expression.

"Alaric old friend, so glad you could make it. I think you know what I want?" Elijah said to him holding his hand out. Alar- I mean, Mr. Saltzman just stood there and glared at him.

"I don't have it with me, I didn't think that we were going to have this type of meeting right in front of the girls." he hissed.

"Oh, pish posh. Don't be ridiculous, why do you think I brought the girls so they could know what was going on."

"Um, Elijah? Where's Damon?" I asked him, I was under the impression that he was going to be here with us.

"Damon, doing what I asked him my dear. I'm sure you will see him later." he replied and that was enough for me just as long as I was going to see him.

"Okay, well, let's just get this little storytelling going shall we. Have a seat ladies this is going to take a while."

Damon

I was in a car with Stefan driving to New Orleans to find a new witch. Apparently Elijah had friends all over which is why I will never cross him. Unless I had to of course. When we reached Bourbon St. Stefan and I hopped out the car and hit the pavement.

"So, where's the place he mentioned?" Stefan asked me looking at all the bars on the block.

"It's called Imona's." I replied to him as we walked down the strip. After about twenty minutes of walking we find this small, barely able to be seen voodoo shop hidden between two huge bars. We walked through the veil of purple beads that was hanging instead of a door. As soon as we crossed the threshold we could smell all the different spices and herbs that was in the cramped space.

"Hello, we need service." I said impatiently when I saw no one in the store but the sign said open. We heard some rustling in the back and saw someone emerge from another veil of beads.

"How may I--" She stopped mid sentence and narrowed her eyes at us. She was an olive toned older lady that was wearing a purple moomoo. If I could make a guess, it would be that purple was her favorite color. I looked to Stefan who was looking at me with the same expression, 'What the hell is going on?'

"Vampiresss." She hissed at us and her chirpy demeanor changed to one of an unpleasant witch.

"Yeah lady and you're a witch. Now that we've been properly introduced can we move on." I said with plenty of sarcasm.

"What do you want bloodsuckers?" She spat at us, Stefan being the more sensible one at the time, replied while I growled at the old hag. She was really starting to push my buttons.

"Um, Elijah sent us here because he said that you could help us are you Imona?" Stefan asked. Her eyes softened just the slightest when he mentioned Elijah's name.

"Elijah? He sent you here? He knew where I was this whole time?" she asked and she seemed really frightened.

"I guess so. He said that if you help him out your debt will be paid." Stefan added. I didn't really remember Elijah saying that but if it was going to get the old lady to help, I'm not going to stop him.

"What do you want, young ones." She was a little more cooperative after this.

"We need a spell to break the sun and the moon curse." I said to her and her eyes narrowed at me again.

"First, you need the moon stone. Then you need to drop some doppelganger blood on the stone while a Bennett which repeats this." She handed me a grimoire. I knew what it was because I've been around witches for a while now. You pick up a thing every now and then.

"This book can only be open by a Bennett witch, and when she/he does they will know what page to go to." I looked at her and nodded my head in gratitude.

"Thank you. Let's get out of here before this is too good to be true." Stefan said and I scoffed at him. Why would he freaking say that. Literally two seconds later someone said,

"Not so fast."

The old hag disappeared around a corner and we turned around to see the one thing I wished I never did.
