Elena

Bonnie and I sat down on a bench that was near a tree while Elijah prepared to tell us the story. Alaric (he said I could call him that), was standing close near by keeping a close watch on the old vampire.

"Okay, so once upon a time there was this powerful witch named Esther who lived in England. This point in time was the rule of Queen Mary or Bloody Mary as some would say. Esther was a Protestant instead of a Catholic and was sent to live in the New World instead of being prosecuted. When she came here she met a man and they settled down. They had five children. Niklaus, Rebekah, Kol, Finn, and Elijah. Their father name was Mikael. One day, one of her children was close to death and she vowed to never let that happen again. So she created a spell that turned her children into immortals or the original vampires. The spirits were not pleased with this so they countered her spell with a curse that they must succumb to blood at the instant they are around it. Nothing can control them more than the craving for blood. Esther was furious at this and taught her children how to control the thirst. Once the spirits learned this they placed another spell on them that anything pure and bright shall bring them pain. Thus why vampire's are killed by the sunlight. She found a way around this too and created a way for us to be able to withstand the sun, just as long as we wear a talisman. Being originals, we are stronger and faster than any other vampire. Only one thing can kill us and I don't think I'm going to tell you what it is. Now on to the curse at hand. It's called the Sun and the Moon curse. All supernatural beings suffer from this curse. Vampire's suffer because we are doomed to live the world in darkness and sorrow. Wolves are forced to change at the sight of the full moon instead of their own free will. Witches don't want the curse to be broken because it will give vampire's the freedom that they don't think they deserve. Either way I don't think that we should be denied a right to live normal lives and be involved in the world as much as witches. We need a Bennett witch since a Bennett witch created it. The blood of a doppelganger, Elena, that's you my love. A vampire and  a werewolf that's where you come in Alaric. I need you to use your keen searching skills and find me a werewolf by the Winter Solstice. That's basically it." Elijah finished his story and I was just fascinated about everything that was said. I learned so much in such a short amount of time. I had so many questions but I'll save them for Damon. I missed Damon. I can't wait to see him, if I'll see him.

"Elena?" Bonnie screamed at me and I broke out of my thoughts and looked at her. My eyebrows scrunched in question as I met her gaze.

"Yes." she said.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" she said and led me a little ways away from Elijah and Alaric who seemed as if he wasn't really sure if he wanted any parts of this.

"Yes Bonnie?" I repeated after we stopped walking.

"Do you believe any of this? This is all a bit too weird for me. I'm not sure if I want to do this." she said. I could see the uncertainty in her eyes and I didn't want that. I needed Elijah to have whatever he wanted and I don't know why I felt that way. I've only known him for a short while. Maybe it's because of all the times he's protected me and kept me safe over the years. I felt as if I owed him something.

"I believe all of this. Elijah wouldn't lie to us, and you should definitely do this. I know that this is weird all of it is weird. But you're a witch, you don't think that is weird? Doing this spell would just make everything even. Elena when he said that the spirits didn't like it he it was for a reason. Vampire's are not supposed to exist, it's an abomination." She tried to reason with me but I wasn't listening. I wanted all of this to be over so that things could somewhat go back to the way they were. I don't want to be dragged to a bridge in the middle of the day to listen to stories that may or may not be true. I want to be a normal teenage girl and enjoy her senior year in high school.
