Damon

The next day I set out to visit Salwa. She notified me last night that she found a spell that might help me break the curse. I had Stefan working on getting the Bennett witch and then we would have almost everything we needed. There was one more thing that was needed for the breaking of the curse but Elijah said he had that covered. When I reached Salwa's house I was getting a very bad vibe. I walked threw her ivory curtain that she had over her door and made my way to the kitchen. What I saw was something that devastated me emotionally and mentally. Salwa was dead on her kitchen table and looks like there was bite marks on her neck. It was a stupid vampire. I can't believe this! I was so close just to have it ripped away by a stupid VAMPIRE. I ran from the house straight to my car. I zoomed as fast as I can to Elijah's house to see what he had to say about all of this.

When I reached his house I didn't even bother knocking on the door. I just barged right in.

"ELIJAAAH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was so flustered that I wasn't thinking any rational thoughts at this point.

"Elijaaaah!" I screamed a little softer this time because I realized how obnoxious I was being.

"Damon? Is there something that you need?" he scowled at me. I looked at him and he seemed to be doing absolutely NOTHING, so I don't understand why he's being to testy with me.

"My witch is dead! The one who was going to find the spell for the Bennett witch to use. SHE"S FREAKING DEAD! Now what are we going to do?" I said exasperated. I grabbed the closest thing to me, which happened to be a vase, and threw it to the other side of the room. It splattered once it hit the wall over the huge fireplace that Elijah had in his sitting room.

"Don't fret Damon, there are plenty of other witch's that knows how to get the spell. Are you seriously that worried?" he asked looking at me as if I was completely insane or something.

"She was killed by a vampire Elijah. Someone knows what we are up to and is trying to stop us. Are you fretting yet?" I said to him incredulously. I don't think that he understands the severity of the situation. Someone is trying to sabotage us and they aren't that far away. A vampire is out to get us, but even worse maybe Elena! I would rip that vampire's throat out if they even think about touching one follicle of hair on her head!

"A vampire you say? Are you absolutely sure?" he said pulling his brows together in deep thought.

"Yeah, I'm freaking sure." I said.

"Well, then we do have a problem. Shall we fret now?" Elijah said as he poured two shots of brandy.

"I'm not here to drink Elijah! I'm here to figure out what we are going to do!" I yelled at him.

"Calm down, Damon, before you wake up the whole freaking state!" Elijah replied. "We will figure this out but not right now, just know that Elena is safe right now. We will come back together tomorrow morning, alright?"

"Okay, whatever, just know that if one hair on her head is missed place by the end of the day, I will come back and rip your freaking throat out!" With that said I left his house as quickly as I entered. I got in my car and drove to Elena's house. I didn't go inside because I knew that she was probably getting ready for school. I could tell because I could hear her eating breakfast with her brother and Aunt. I just hope everything works out by the solstice.

Elena

I was sitting at the table eating breakfast with Jenna and Jeremy. I mostly just thinking about how I was supposed to talk to Bonnie when she was clearly ignoring me and Mr. Saltzman? What does he have to do with any of this? I just don't understand anything, I hate being left in the dark. I looked at my phone and it was almost 8 in the morning.

"Jeremy we gotta go." I said to him as I dropped my dirty dishes in the sink and grabbed my coat. He followed closely behind and we made our way to school.

When we got to school I saw my usual clique like always but didn't make my way towards them. It seemed as if they were still excluding me, that was fine with me. At the moment. I made eye contact with Bonnie and it seemed her eyes changed from indecent to remorseful but I quickly looked away. I walked into the building and was quickly pulled behind a corner and down a stairwell. I tried to scream but my mouth was covered.

"Shh, Elena its just me Stefan." He let me go and I turned around to look at him.

"What the hell is wrong with you? I am so sick of vampires for one week." I said to him.

"Shh, don't say things like that so loud. Listen, I'm working on Bonnie, all we need you to do is get Mr. Saltzman to cooperate. He seems to have taken an interest in you anyway." Stefan propositioned to me.

"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I begged.

"In due time, Elena, due time." I walked away from him completely flustered. I went to my first period which I shared with both Stefan and Bonnie. When I walked in there was only my and one other person Mr. Saltzman.

"Good Morning Elena." he greeted to me as I made my way towards his desk.

"Good Morning, Mr. Saltzman, um can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, go for it." he said as he was placing his feet on top of his desk getting comfortable.

"Do you know a man by the name of Elijah?" I asked. His eyes darkened at the mention of the name.

"How do you know Elijah?" he asked me with his eyes brooding.

"I just know that I need you to escort me and my friend somewhere after school today if you don't mind. I would really appreciate it."

"Elena, I don't think you know what you're getting yourself into." he said as he moved his feet from off the desk and planted them firmly on the floor.

"I think I do Mr. Saltzman, just know I would really really appreciate if you could come along." I pratically begged him.

"I will go Elena, just to make sure you are safe. When do we leave?"

"Right after school." I told him, "Oh and Bonnie will be coming too." I added.

Students began filling in the room and I took my new seat in the front of the room. Throughout the whole class period Mr. Saltzman kept his eyes on me. I could hear Bonnie and Stefan talking from the back of the class and I knew that everything was going to fall into place.
