Elena

Vampire? This can't be real. There's no such thing as vampires. I must be dreaming, this all must be a hoax or something. Yeah I'm dreaming.

"Elena, you're not dreaming." he said as he took a step towards me.

"I must be dreaming. I have to be." I said as I was shaking my head. I was backing up as he continued to come closer to me.

"Listen Elena, I want you to go home and rest because this is going to be a long journey. I need you to go school and find the Bennett witch." he said looking me in my eyes. Bennett witch? Is he talking about Bonnie.

"Bonnie's not a witch. She's normal like me."

"No, love, you are most definitely not normal. Neither is your friend Bonnie. Her grandmother was a great witch but did one too many spells and it didn't end well for her. Bonnie is different. Bring her to the Wickery bridge tomorrow at 7 pm." He said as he finally reached me and put his hands on my shoulders. I could see the reasoning in his eyes and clutched my pendant for comfort.

"No, why should I trust you?" I asked again, still refusing to believe that this was reality. He barred his fangs at me and I trembled with fear.

"Now, I don't want to hurt you, dearest Elena, I don't think I could bring myself to do it if I tried. But if you need proof of my existence then I will give you that." I was so distracted at the situation at hand that I never took the time to take in my surroundings. I was deep in the woods almost near the cemetery where my parents were buried. Its weird that I know my way around the woods but the town was only so big and the woods weren't very dense. He ran so fast to the other side of the woods that I could barely see him. He was then right in front of my face in an instant.

"Elena, tell me that you trust me." He stared at me intensely. I didn't really see any other choice but nor did I feel as if he gave me a reason not to trust him, so I nodded my head.

"Wonderful, my darling. You tell that Mr. Saltzman to come too will you? We must plan accordingly." he said and gathered me up in his arms. My pendant began to hum again to the close proximity of its creator and he chuckled.

"Don't worry my child, everything will be alright. With the help of the Bennett witch and that Damon Salvatore, everything will be just fine." Damon, my heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. I left him in my room all alone. He must be frantic as to why I just jumped out the window and how did he know Elijah? What is going on in the small town Mystic Falls? I will have a talk with him as soon as I see him.

"Damon?" I asked Elijah as he rambled on and I wasn't really aware that he was still talking with all my thoughts.

"Oh yes, the young vampire."

"The young WHAT?" I asked him incredulously.

"I'm guessing in the time you two have spent together he has not told you." he smirked at me.

"No, it didn't seem to come up in conversation." I mumbled.

"Well, don't be mad at him my love. I'm pretty sure he wanted to tell you. The Salvatore brothers are very secretive." Elijah murmured to me.

"I've noticed." I replied. Within the next five seconds I was lifted up into my room and placed gently on my bed.

"What the hell?! Elijah? What do you think you are doing?" I saw Damon enter through my bedroom door and he looked furious. I should be the one upset at everything that has accumulated but I was too tired to give it much thought.

"Damon, Damon, Damon. Don't worry, you seemed to have been taking your sweet time with your part of the deal and I was just speeding up the process." he said nonchalantly.
