"your majesty, we found this piece of scum in the princess's room." one guard scoffed shoving him onto the floor. Ara immediately ran to him.

"Ara! What are you doing?!" the king asked as she helped him stand up.

"he's not scum he's a prince as well. If you decide to kill him then kill me too. I'm not marrying-" she defended but was cut off. Jimin was whispering to her to not do this knowing exactly what would happen if she continued to resist.

"so you've been secretly seeing someone ?! How dare you, that is against the law do you know how many rules you have broken!?" The king raised his voice and violently stood up.

"You are wrong! the law states that I'm not able to date anyone who isn't of royal blood. But he is of royal blood therefore making it legal." Ara fought back earning stares and whispers from the princes.

"But in secret?! I should have you removed from this family!" The king threatened.

"Then do it!" Ara raised her voice earning a shocked look from the king that she'd stand up for herself like this.

"Take him away for questioning." The king motioned as the guards yanked him out of Ara's grasp and took him away.

"I'll save you don't worry." Ara mouthed to him in tears.

"i love you my princess." he mouthed back as the doors closed and silence filled the room for a few moments before Ara collected herself and walked up the stairs and past the princes and out the doors into the dark hallway which was only illuminated by a few candles which was still not enough to light her way but she knew the way regardless.

"Your majesty?" a voice called out to her which made her stop and turn around to see who it was, to her surprise she saw that it was Kim Namjoon. He stood a few feet behind her, cautious if he should take another step.

"I'm sorry you had to see that your majesty, that wasn't planned at all." Ara apologized as she wiped her tears trying to act professional but failed.

"Princess, it's alright I've seen worse things happen in such environments. But I must ask you something." He explained in a soft tone staying in the same spot.

"yes?" Ara asked in a broken tone trying to keep her composure.

"Can I hug you? It's completely fine if you aren't comfortable with that I understand I don't want to disrespect you in any way." He bowed slightly before being engulfed in a hug by the princess.

"thank you." she whispered in a broke tone before the prince hugged her back softly rubbing her back. He said absolutely nothing and did nothing which was what Ara wanted.

"I wish it didn't have to be this way." she whispered as more tears fell, she was embarrassed that she was here, crying in the shirt of some prince she had never met before in her life.

"Your majesty, should we get you some water?" prince Kim Namjoon asked putting both hands firmly on her shoulders. Having no words she just nodded as he cautiously gently wiped her tears before putting one arm over her as they walked down the darkened hallway and to the small shortcut to the kitchen. After they finished they both walked to a balcony and sat on the bench in the moonlight.

"I have to find him." Ara now felt numb now knowing that he was probably in a dungeon, getting ready to be executed in a matter of hours even though it was against the law to execute a prince not on his own territory.

"Your majesty, with all due respect you would get yourself killed if you were involved."

"i wish i could disappear." Ara whispered to herself before she stood up.

"we better get back to the dance before there's a search party for me."

"are you sure?" he asked standing up as well.

"yes I'm sure." Ara lied as she tried to convince herself the same thing.

"if you need anything, let me know princess." as he took her hand and walked her back into the hallway.

"wait, does it look like I just cried?" Ara asked causing him to stop and to look at her.

"of course not, you still look stunning Miss Ara." he smiled reassuringly as they walked back into the hall.

"YOU ARE BANISHED FROM THIS KINGDOM FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE PRINCE PARK JIMIN." a booming voice greeted them startling them both.

"wait, they're banishing him!?" Ara's heart stopped once again as she tried to stop her father but it was too late.

"Jimin! Jimin wait!" she called out, hoping for them to stop.

"You have five minutes to say your goodbyes." The queen warned Ara as the king angrily sat down before starting to converse with the princes.

"Jimin, Jimin no please... they can't do this to you." Ara started before she was silenced by Jimin kissing her as if he was about to die right in front of her.

"I'm so sorry for ruining what little privacy we had my princess." he apologized as they pulled away.

"this isn't the end." she croaked out in a broken tone once again.

"this is the end for us my princess." he whispered staring into her eyes.

"w-what do you mean."

"I'm never going to see you again my princess, I truly wish things were different this way but they aren't." he apologized breaking her heart into a million pieces.

"what do you suggest I do then." Ara asked crying even harder. Jimin would be lying if this didn't break him as well.

"I'm not enough for you, take one of the princes, they're everything you need."

"fine, I hope I never see you again." Ara pushed him before walking away and up the stairs and sat down on her seat trying to hold in her tears.
