movie and sleep

Hinata POV:

The movie started and we all got quiet. There wasn't enough space on the couch to fit everyone so me and Kageyama were left to sit on the floor.

"Hinata, are you cold?" Kageyama asked me. 

"Mhm, just a little." I whispered to Kageyama. I was shaking- mostly out of fear and anticipation but I was cold too.

In response to my comment, Kageyama reached his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to his body.

"Is that better?" he asked. I blushed from being so close to him. By then my body had stopped shivering and my face was red.

"Yeah, th-thank you Kageyama."

Kageyama POV + Time Skip:

The movie was getting to a seemingly intense scene. Yellow was walking around in the dark headed to fix the lights. He was all alone in the dark, hardly able to see. When Yellow entered electrical he saw Purple, waiting. Hinata grabbed my hand and squeezed it. His palm sweaty and hand trembling.

Hinata POV:

I knew what was about to happen next. Purple was going to unleash their snake-like tongue and stab Yellow with it. Out of instinct I grabbed hold of Kageyama's hand. He must've noticed I was scared because he whispered into my ear:

"Hinata, look at me," his voice was only loud enough for me to hear. I rotated my head slowly and looked up at his face.

Kageyama POV:

"Hinata look at me," my voice was barely audible. He turned to face me. His chapped lips were slightly parted and his cheeks were flushed as he stared into my eyes. Hinata brought his gaze lower, to my lips. I moved them once more letting reassuring words come out.

"You're safe, it isn't real," I hesitated before continuing to speak.

"But I'll protect you either way."

Hinata POV:

"But I'll protect you either way."

His last sentence make my whole body tingle, sure it was cheesy but wow. I heard screams from the tv indicating Green had been shot by Cyan, the other Imposter. I jumped at the sudden noise and spun my head to look at the screen. Kageyama reached his hand out and gently turned my face back towards his. We stayed that way for the rest of the movie. My hand in his, his arm around my shoulder, and his thumb pressed to my jaw, forcing me to look into the safety of his dark eyes.

Third Person POV:

"Woah, look at the time, 23:34. I'd say it's about time we went to sleep," Daichi yawned after making the statement.

"Agreed, but let's first figure out who is sleeping where. We don't have enough rooms for each person to get their own so we'll have to split up into partners. First we'll go with Asahi x Nishinoya, Tsuki x Yamaguchi ... and finally Hinata x Kageyama!" Suga purposefully paired them together, he saw the way they were looking at each other before.

They all walked to their rooms and set up their futons.

Hinata POV:

Damn it, what am I going to do without my snuggle crow? I've tried to sleep without it but never been successful, this is going to be a loooong night.

Time Skip (about 25 minutes):

I wonder how long I've been lying here. It feels like hours that I've been counting sheep in my head trying to pass the time. Maybe if I just had something to hug, even if it wasn't my crow I could sleep. But what do I have readily available to snuggle with?

....

....

....

"Kageyama are you awake?" I whispered and flipped over to face him.

"Dumbass, what do you want?"

"I forgot my stuffed animal... D-Do you think I could cuddle with you?"

Kageyama POV:

Did he just say what I think he said? Hinata wants to cuddle with me?! I'm glad it's dark, I'm sure my face is bright red just from the thought of being close to him again.

"S-Sure, push your futon next to mine." Is this really happening?!

"Kay," he responded with a groggy voice I'd never heard before.

Hinata POV:

Once my futon was next to his I climbed back into bed. Kageyama was turned away from me meaning I had to be the big spoon. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled myself closer to him. The heat radiating off his body made me almost instantly fall asleep. But before I dozed off I thought to myself one thing: I like the crow I'm hugging now much more than my stuffed crow at home.

-744 words- I hope you enjoyed the second chapter! Hinata was stuttering and sputtering a lot but idk I think it's cute. I do understand that Hinata is definitely not shy and easily submissive but, I think it makes everything just a tad softer and cuter so I'm probably gonna keep it that way.[EDIT: I wrote this back in the day when among us was an actual thing and then forgot about this and only recently wrote the last two chapters so don't bully me abt it]
