the kiss

Kageyama POV:

"HINATA," Nishinoya yelled out Hinata's name and stood up for dramatic effect.

"TRUTH OR DARE?!?"

"I choose... dare" Hinata responded, from the grin Nishinoya was making, I'd say he just messed up.

"I dare you to... kiss your crush!!" he squealed and sat back down.

"W-what? First off, how do you even know I have a c-crush. And second, what makes you think they would be in this room?" Hinata is pretty cute when he's embarrassed, but I wonder who he will kiss.

"First off," Noya started, mimicking his sentence.

"You keep daydreaming during practice, it's obvious you like someone. And second, no offense.. but you don't really hang out with anyone but us. You could have a crush on Kenma, but i'm pretty sure I know who you actually like."

There was a moment of silence until Hinata finally spoke.

"Sugawara aren't you going to stop me?" he asked.

"I've actually been waiting for this for a while. Plus, I'd rather you both kiss in front of me so I can pull you apart if it gets to be too much." Suga responded shrugging.

I'm not looking forward to Hinata kissing anyone in front of me but I guess I'll just look away.

"B-Bakayama, come here,"

"Huh?" Was he referring to me?

"Come closer so I can kiss you," he mumbled.

Bewildered, and not knowing what else to do, I shifted closer to him. Hinata strained his neck to look up at me. His eyelashes kept fluttering shut as he awkwardly sat there. His eyes finally closed indicating I was supposed to kiss him. I leaned over until my mouth was to his ear.

"I think I like you too Hinata." I let out a gentle whisper, not loud enough for anyone else to hear. I then reached out my hands and rested them on each side of his face. I paused for a moment and made sure he was okay with this. In response, he slightly parted his lips, waiting for my kiss.

Hinata POV:

After ages of sitting silently with my eyes shut, Kageyama finally pressed his lips to mine. At first the kiss was slow, almost as if our mouths were hesitating. But it felt so good to be here, kissing my crush, kissing Kageyama, it soon became more passionate. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pushed myself closer to his body. With our lips still touching, I hoisted myself onto his lap. Kageyama gasped into my mouth at my sudden movement. I took the opportunity to slide my tongue into his mouth. Our tongues collided and swirled together. After a few more seconds of kissing, we separated. Kageyama and I were both left panting after how long our kiss had gone on.

I looked around at the others to see Daichi holding Suga back. He must've wanted to put an end to our make-out session but the others wouldn't let him. The others just seemed uncomfortable after witnessing two people kiss for so long.

Time skip:

The rest of the night was filled with laughter and awkward glances between me and Kageyama. We weren't dared to do anything else together, though I was somewhat hoping we would. Me and Kags never ended up talking about our shared kiss, but I'm sure we would get around to it when the time came. Eventually, everyone left for the night causing the room to fall into a peaceful silence.

I started to put my pajamas on, but Kageyama walked up to me.

"Because we kissed earlier and everything..." Kageyama mumbled while itching the back of his head.

Ah, here it is. The point in time when Kageyama takes back everything he said. A time when he rejects my feelings and leaves me. Brace yourself Hinata, you're about to experience heart-break.

"Do you still want to sleep with me tonight?" he asked.

Oh. Never mind. I stood up a little straighter and shifted my feet. I was still looking down, shirtless, as I responded.

"Yes please,"

He walked away and I finished getting ready for bed. Luckily for us, Tanaka and Ennoshita were already asleep so we wouldn't have to explain why we were cuddling together.

I hopped into my bed first and Kageyama soon followed. He was heavier than I was, so when he laid down on the bed gravity pulled me towards him. I blushed when I fell into him but didn't make any choice to move. Kageyama turned towards me so he was laying on his side and wrapped his arms around my back. He steadily pulled me closer to him until my face was buried in his chest. The warmth of his body and the steady pace of his heartbeat lulled me to sleep in an instant.
