morning sickness

Kageyama POV:

I woke up late in the morning. For a moment I didn't know where I was. Not until my memory of the previous night came crashing into me like Thomas the Tank Engine on steroids.

Hinata and I cuddled all throughout the night. I kept waking up and rolling over but every time, Hinata stayed glued to my side, never letting go. As a result of Hinata continuing to latch on to me, our current positioning was, to say the least- awkward.

My arms and legs were sprawled out across the two futons while Hinata's body lay on top of me. Hinata's head and arms managed to get underneath my shirt, and his legs were intertwined with my own.

Third Person POV:

Daichi knocked on Kageyama and Hinata's door, curious as to why they weren't awake. They were usually the first ones up. He opened the door to check on them.

"If you don't hurry up we're going to be late for the-" Daichi stopped speaking when he saw how Hinata and Kageyama were laying.

Kageyama sat up and reached his arm towards Daichi ready to explain their situation, but before he could defend himself, Daichi had apologized and shut the door.

Hinata POV:

"Mhmm" I groaned from being jolted awake by Kageyama. All I wanted to do was to go back to sleep so I shoved Kageyama back down and tried to do so. He sat back up.

"Hinata, we have to get up or we're going to miss the game." Kageyama tried to explain but I hardly heard him.

"Don't you want to play volleyball?" he was trying to lure me into his trap and I was about to fall for it. I stifled a sneeze before responding.

"Yeah okay, but my head is stuck and I don't know how to get out," I tried moving around more but my effort resulted in me pushing my head through the head hole of his shirt. When I popped my head out our faces were centimeters apart. We both turned our heads and blushed.

"Kageyama I have an idea. put your arms up," after he followed my instructions, I reached down and pulled his shirt off the both of us. All he was left in were a pair of pajama pants.

Kageyama POV:

Shit that was so hot. The way he pulled my shirt off the both of us is about to make me go into cardiac arrest. Damn, maybe I am gay...

I pushed Hinata off my lap and mumbled something about getting ready. I'm not even sure what I said but he seemed to understand and started getting dressed.

"Hey Hinata, are you feeling any better?" he better be fine so he can play in the game.

"Yeah.. Definitely.." he seemed to respond somewhat hesitantly and even sniffled after saying he was fine. Was he just saying that so he could play? Probably, but who was I to stop him?

Hinata POV:

It pained me to lie to Kageyama, but I told him I would stay on the court longer than him.. Missing a whole game would put him in the lead and I'm not going to let that happen.

Once we finished putting our volleyball uniforms on, we met up with the others.

Third Person POV:

When Kageyama and Hinata entered the room everyone got silent. They knew they were going to be hit the hardest by the discovery they made.

"Hey guys, there's something we need to tell you," Daichi was using his dad voice, this was serious news.

"When we woke up we were all coughing and sneezing. Now that we're all sick, we'll have to forfeit the match," Suga cut in finishing what Daichi was about to say.

"D-did I get everyone sick??" Hinata looked like he was about to puke.

"No, it was Oscar the Grouch, he must've been hiding in our garbage can," Tsuki replied. Yumaguchi elbowed Tsukishima in the side causing him to yelp.

"That's weird, why are you guys sick when I literally slept with Hinata and don't feel a thing?" Kageyama pondered aloud.

"You w-what?!" Asahi exclaimed.

Hinata, choosing to ignore what Kageyama just said, got down on his knees and apologized to his team. He was single handedly responsible for their loss.

Time Skip (about 5 minutes):

After Hinata was done apologizing, the team started packing. They were originally supposed to head home two days from now but being that they couldn't play any more games, the team arranged to leave early.

Another Time Skip (about 30 minutes):

The volleyball team filed into the bus one by one. Kageyama and Hinata were at the end of the line after being the last ones to finish packing. This of course meant they would be sitting next to each other.

Once everyone was settled into their seats, Coach Ukai started driving. As soon as his foot pressed down on the gas pedal, Nishinoya jumped out of his seat and requested that they turn on some music. And after Suga screamed at Noya to sit down, the Coach turned on the radio. But the first channel he turned to was interrupted by a nation-wide broadcast.

"Today we are officially announcing the spread of Covid-19 in Japan," the reporter stated.

Everyone in the bus looked around, they had yet to hear of the virus the man called "Covid-19".

"Covid-19 is a virus thought to have started in China. However it quickly spread through-out the world. The symptoms appear to be similar to the common cold, but this virus is much deadlier. We are issuing a lockdown. Do not go outside without a mask and make sure to wash your hand frequently. Lastly, if you or your loved ones have symptoms including coughing, sneezing, a sore throat, a fever, and loss of taste or smell, we request they stay home for 14 days. Then, contact everyone they have seen the past 4-5 days and ask them to stay home too," the broadcast ended leaving them all sitting in silence.

-983 words-  That was a bit of a boring chapter but dw, we're just getting started. I've also decided to post two chapters a day starting now. yw
