Jiang Cheng had finally woken up after 3 days, Wei Wuxian had left him unconscious to calm him down and make the situation easier without all the scandals his brother was going to make, everyone thought he would wake up after a few hours but it turns out he was in that state for much longer. Wei Wuxian was even afraid that he had accidentally put him into a coma.

When Jiang Cheng woke up he was not happy at all, right after opening his eyes he had prepared to run after Wei Wuxian without even knowing where he was. As he was trying to get out of the bed he noticed that his body was hurting to a point that even breathing was difficult, how did he get in that state? Jiang Cheng didn't remember how long he had been in that state but it looked like he had been there for months. Now that he had completely woken up, he realized that where he was wasn't somewhere he was familiarized with, everything was white with a lot of plants, it had a lot of medicine close to him.

He couldn't understand his situation, he thought that Wei Wuxian had made him unconscious for him to go back to his house without asking anything about what happened with Jin Ling, but this is nowhere near what he had imagined. Thinking about life made him a bit better, the pain was enormous, it's like death was approaching him, a thousand knives cutting him. It hurt so much that he didn't notice that someone had opened the door.

"Oh, oh my, you woke up!" And of course, it was Wei Wuxian. The main reason he brought him here was that he wanted to check on him up close, he didn't like how Jiang Cheng was making all those efforts while sick, it would only make him worse.

"w-why am I here?" Jiang Cheng formed the sentence with a lot of discomforts, he almost cried but contained himself.

"It's for you to get better.. look at yourself, you can't even form words!"

"where-" he started coughing uncontrollably and a tear escaped his eye, the flowers growing inside of him were like torture, the agony he felt was so big that he would end up not being able to do anything. Jiang Cheng hoped that it was something happening because he had just woken up because if it wasn't then this was probably the end of him.

"I.. I'm so sorry, I'll call more people to check on you, I'm sorry"

'Why is he saying sorry?' Jiang Cheng thought that because of that phrase he had told everyone about that one unlucky person that he liked, but in the end, he understood that he was apologizing for making him unconscious and worsening the situation. Since Jiang Cheng had been kept sleeping for so long without making any movements, all the flowers that he was supposed to cough got stuck waiting for him to wake up and cough, which also explained why he was feeling so bad like he got rejected.

Jiang Cheng was very happy from discovering the truth. As he was preparing himself to get out of the room the door opened again revealing Wei Wuxian with Jin Ling, Lan Wangji and... Lan Xichen. Jiang Cheng felt like having a heart attack, he went back to the bed and tried to make a plain expression, this was too embarrassing.

"Sect Leader Jiang, it seems like you woke up" Lan Xichen said with a big warm smile that made Jiang Cheng want to die, how did he end up liking him if he would never have the courage to tell him?

"Uhm"

"Uncle, Wei Wuxian said that you weren't planning on getting better!"

"Don't listen to Wei Wuxian" *cough* "I did plan to get better, but I must admit that I also didn't want to"

"You.. you.. you were literally killing yourself!" Jin Ling ran to hug his Uncle, Wei Wuxian had told Jin Ling that to get better from the illness Jiang Cheng had the person needed to do something that no one would ever imagine Jiang Cheng doing, and now that he looked at his uncle awake and sick he realized that the situation was terrible. The medicine wasn't working on him while he was unconscious, his skin would get more red marks every hour that passed. What made Jin Ling even more stressed was that Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji wouldn't tell him about anything.

"shut up"

"Don't talk to him like that" Wei Wuxian interrupted their conversation making Jiang Cheng angry.

"That's right, I prefer to die now leave me alone I don't want to stay here" The room went quiet and Jin Ling hugged him tighter. Jiang Cheng is an irresponsible child.

"Uh... no one ever told me about the cure of this Illness.." Lan Xichen said trying to end the silence, he had asked about it the other day and Lan Wangji told him about having a cure but then Lan Wangji ignored him when he asked what it was, it still makes him angry that no one has done anything about the so-called cure in the past few days. Wouldn't it be better to just get the cure and make him better already? Jiang Cheng couldn't die.

"Well hm Zewu-Jun, the cure is not something Jiang Cheng wants to do but somehow we will force him."

"force me?? if you tell anyone about it I will kill you!" Jiang Cheng was furious, he got off the bed forgetting about all the pain just to slap Wei Wuxian to make him scared, something that did not happen since he didn't have the force to and he also looked funny with fluffy hair trying to run to get Wei Wuxian, his hair wasn't naturally fluffy, it only went that way becausehe slept too much. Jiang Cheng was now very fragile, It's funny how he went from powerful and intimidating to this.

"You can't even stand up properly and wants to make me not tell anyone hahaha!" Wei Wuxian stopped laughing when he realized that Lan Xichen got Jiang Cheng's hand and slowly put him back on the bed, making an angry Jiang Cheng turn into a nervous Jiang Cheng, the expression on his face was hilarious making Wei Wuxian want to laugh again. Now maybe he wouldn't need to do much for Lan Xichen to like him.

Because of that small gesture, Jiang Cheng felt like his whole body would explode, he was so happy that he couldn't explain his emotions anymore. He didn't like to assume this but just seeing Lan Xichen made all his pain go away with only some coughs now and then, now that he touched his hand it made him feel like he was flying, it was a bunch of mixed good feelings thrown at him. 'And it was so cute how he gently put me back and smiled.. wait no no stop Jiang Cheng' he couldn't stop having thoughts like this in his head. Jiang Cheng was so cute! he really loved Lan Xichen but because he has poor communication skills he can't even tell his feelings, normal conversations are also very hard for him he hardly continues one without judging the other person.
