“Is there a problem Marnie?” Mr Thompson groaned.
“I want to move seats sir,” I retorted, turning around to face him.
“Just sit down,” He grumbled, gesturing towards my vacant seat.
I stood my ground refusing to do as my teacher said, crossing my arms over my chest in a childish manner.
“Stop acting like you’re too good for everyone,” Calum muttered quietly. I whipped around, my shoes squeaking against the hardwood classroom floor.
“Excuse me?” I glared at him from my spot in the middle of the classroom.
“This is the second disturbance in five minutes Marnie, either sit down in your seat or get out!” Mr Thompson slammed his pen down on to the desk to solidify his threat.
I huffed and grumbled profanities to myself as I reluctantly slipped in to the uncomfortable plastic chair situated behind the bland desk.
“Thank you Marnie. It is nice to know you can co-operate now and again,” Mr Thompson pulled a fake smile at me before addressing the class about the history project we were expected to go in pairs to do.
It was about ten minutes later while he was still drawling on about this damn project when I felt my chair being pushed from behind. I glanced at the legs of my chairs to see black vans placed firmly against them. Calum.
“What the hell are you doing?” I whispered in a harsh tone at Calum. He smirked, obviously amused.
“I’m not doing anything.”
“Please just stop,” I begged, turning around to face the front. I couldn’t afford to cause any more disruptions in this lesson.
“Aw, so you do know how to be polite?” He pushed my chair once more before I reached backwards and knocked off his folder and in turn his pencil case fell off on top of it, spilling the entire contents across the floor.
“Oops,” I smirked, momentarily admiring the mess I had made.
“Seriously?” Calum began scooping up his pens. “Is that the best you can do?”
Before I had time to even process a response Calum had unhooked the spine of my folder and knocked it over so that all of my plastic wallets fell out making all of my notes mix up. I narrowed my eyes at him before I actually started laughing. Calum seemed confused at first, obviously expecting me to get angry, but then joined me louder than ever and that is when Mr Thompson completely lost it.
“What is so funny you two?” He asked raising his bushy eyebrows in question. I mimed zipping and locking my mouth before throwing away the key as I held in my giggles. “Calum? Since Marnie has returned to her childish state, would you like to explain what is so funny to the class?”
“Nothing sir,” Calum stood up from the floor with huge handfuls of pens that I’d pushed on to the floor.
“What in the name of the Lord are you doing?” Mr Thompson was 110% done with both of us at this point.
“Well Marnie-” Calum began before I slapped my hand over his mouth in an attempt to shut him up. He licked my hand making me grimace as I refused to let go.
“Get out. Both of you,” Mr Thompson shouted pointing towards the closed door.
Calum poked my side making me want to squeal due to how ticklish I was but I wasn’t going to allow him the satisfaction. I walked out of the classroom, Calum closely following at my scuffed heel. When we got outside and had closed the door after us, we both looked at each other and burst out laughing again. Mr Thompson stuck his head out of the door, rapidly silencing us before returning to our now quiet class. When he had closed the door once again we suppressed our giggles in to our hands and I had to bite my palm to stop myself from snorting like a fat pig. Something about getting in trouble was hilarious and Calum’s laugh was contagious.

“I never want a re-run of today, okay?” Mr Thompson looked from me to Calum and then back again. He looked tired which made me feel slightly guilty for making his day even worse.
“Sorry sir,” Calum and I apologised simultaneously looking down at the floor.
“While you were out of the classroom I chose your partners for you-” Mr Thompson began.
“That’s not fair!” Calum whined, crossing his arms and frowning. I smirked at his brat like behaviour.
“Calum. You are on your last warning. As I was saying, I chose suitable partners for you. Suitable being the operative word. You two were meant to be together but since you both seem as immature as each other I changed a couple of people around,” Mr Thompson continued, leaning on his desk with his elbows while gently massaging his temples. “Calum you are with Jasmine Oakes and Marnie you are with Luke Hemmings.”
Poor Calum. He seemed chuffed with his partner but I felt so bad for him since he had to put up with one of the most annoyingly obnoxious, bratty girls in our entire year. In my case, Luke wasn’t too bad. He was kind, smart and most definitely hot. I heard he played guitar as well so that’s a definite turn on.
“Okay,” I agreed gathering my stuff together and shoving my folder back in to order.
“Sure thing sir,” Calum grinned from ear to ear, probably thinking about what else other than history notes he could get out of Jasmine.
Once I had slung my rucksack over my shoulder I made a bee line for the door, yanking it open with a lot of force as I just wanted to get home and away from this hell hole. I brushed past someone waiting outside the classroom trying not to get sucked in to the corridor mayhem. A hand wrapped around my forearm and softly pulled me backwards, swinging me around so that I came face-to-chest with an extremely tall boy.

I hope this satisifies you and I'll try to update once a week rather than leaving it so long :)
