"She actually sounds wonderful." Hayley stated as she handed Hope to Klaus. Who smiled as he took his daughter, all air of woe gone from him. "Which isn't always a guarantee with your past acquaintances." She chuckled, moving to sit in the armchair.
"She really was." Elijah said quietly as he stared into space, thinking of his ex-lover.
"Uh oh. Elijah's gone lovesick again." Kol chuckled as he looked up towards his older brother.
"Oh shut it Kol." Elijah muttered taking a sip from his drink.
"Question." Hayley interrupted. "If she's a witch, how exactly is she still alive? I mean, I know witches can slow down aging but not for nine hundred years."
"An excellent question, little wolf." Klaus said. "One we don't exactly know the answer to."
"Well," Rebekah began. "We know she's a vampire/ witch hybrid. But we don't know how, as she's the only one in existence."
"I found her." Freya announced as she walked back into the room. "Locator spell says she's in Mississippi."
"How were you able to do that?" Rebekah questioned getting up from the couch and reaching for the address Freya had written on a piece of paper. "You need a personal object of the one you are searching for."
"I supplied that." Elijah said quickly, setting down his glass and picking up his coat. "Niklaus, are you coming?"
Klaus nodded and gave Hope back to Hayley. Leaving the room to get his own coat.
"What exactly did you have of hers?" Kol questioned, wanting to stir up trouble.
Elijah glared at him. Not much fancying being called lovesick again.
"A ring." He responded as he left the room.
"What ring?" Kol questioned further, undeterred by the fact that his brother had left the room and simply getting up to follow him.
"The engagement ring." Rebekah supplied with a sad tone as she followed her brothers to the courtyard.
"Ready to go Niklaus?" Elijah said, as Klaus walked back down the stairs. Elijah being desperate to leave the conversation.
"Let's go." Klaus responded and they both exited the gates
