Abandoned and welcomed

Chapter 23

The sheer look of grim on the Galra's faces was enough to worry, "What have you done?!"

"I'm.. not quite aware what you mean?" Princess Alura said with a nervous voice, had they messed up?

She was quite sure they didnt leave anything out of place,

and if the galra's did come looking for them, they could just fight them off with Voltron now that Keith was back.

"The kit. He's in heat, and it's very intense. Only an omega's first heat should be this intense. But the problem is, Keith is most definitely too old to be having his first heat." Kolivan messages his templates, this was going to be a long week.

"There was most likely something that caused his heat, and due to his first heat being late... it's going to be much more longer and difficult to handle."

"Heat?! Like a cat??" Lance exclaimed "Pssh, but Keith's not a cat. Or is he..?" He examined Keith's cat like features, the ears and tail were a big red flag.

"Oh god, Keith's turned into a cat boy!" Hunk wailed.

"Hunk, Lance it's not like that.. but what's a cet anyways?" Coran perked up, "A ca-at? Caet?  Cat?"

"Keith's not a cat guys!" Shiro interrupted their little meeting. Keith's a Galra, but anyways that's not important, what's important is that he's in heat."

"Its a big problem, especially since he's been claimed by an alpha already."

"Alpha??! Claimed??! What does that have to do with anything?? Can't we just give him some catnip and he'll be fine.. right?"

"No it is not, your 'catnip' whatever it is will not help in this situation, because Keith's already been claimed, no one can help him except for the one who claimed him."

They were utterly screwed, and they could feel it.

"If someone other than their mate tries to satiate their heat.. he's body will react in a way that's not very good. He will become feral and defensive until his mate comes back."

"And? What if their mate doenst come back?" Shiro crosses his arms, hoping for a positive awnser.

"They either go insane, or die. It's a dire situation." Everyone has a grim look on their face now. They fucked up.

They royally fucked up. They thought they were helping Keith, are they potentially harming him instead?

"Our best option is to get him back to his mate as soon as possible. If we can figure out who it is."

A few hours later, of everyone contemplating what to the best choice was, or maybe who his mate even was. They receive a call from an unknown ship.

Alura picked it up, and a large hologram of Lotor appeared. "A declaration of attack?!"

"Hello there, greetings and all. I'm in quite a hurry here."

"What is it you want? We are quite prepared if you plan to launch am attack on the castle." Alura stood up defensively, everyone was a little jittery.

"Nonono, do not worry, I dont plan to attack the castle anytime soon. I just need to reclaim something or rather someone, you stole from me."

"What are you ta- Oh, I get it. Your trying to take Keith back now, huh?" Shiro laughed. "Too bad. We just got him back and bow your trying to take him again? Not a chance."

"Well theres the problem, he's technically mine. And without me, he's going to have to go through excruciating pain, after all, he is in heat."

"Oh, so your the bastard that did disgusting things to my brother, I'm going to have to pound you into Monday for that."

"Oh how threatening, but I'm not here for jokes. Give. Him. Back." Lotor's voice changed, he now sounded more menacing, and he sure as hell meant what he said.

"Not. A. Chance." Shiro glared back at him.

"That's enough!" Alura was furious now. "Shiro, I know it's not exactly the most desired outcome, but you heard Kolivan. He will die without his mate, and even if that disgusting creature is his mate, he will still die without him."

"But Alura-"

"No buts! This is what's best for Keith, and you! I will only give Keith back to you if you promise to treat him well and give him back after his heat is over. And that is final, no negotiations."

Lotor's face pained a slight bit but sighed in defeat, "Alright, only if you promise he'll be allowed to come back if he wanted."

"Keith won't want to go back with you-"

"Alright."

And Keith went back with Lotor for the week.
