I sit with my textbooks, trying to get some homework done but I can't. I'm too worried about Tom and it's ridiculous. Why do I care so much?
There's a knock on my door, and I look out the window to see the familiar black car. I quickly walk over to the door and open it, seeing Tom standing in front of me.
"Hi.." I say.
"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry." He says. "Eliana I didn't mean what I said, of course I want you around I just sometimes can't control what I say.."
"It's okay Tom." I say, and pull him into a hug.
His body stiffens, almost like he's not used to being hugged. How sad.. he relaxes, and his arms wrap around me. I smile. I really like this side of him, even if I rarely get to see it.
I pull my head away from his chest, looking in his eyes. He still holds me close, and I feel butterflies in my stomach.. I try to push the feeling away, but it won't stop.
"I um- do you want to come in?" I ask, pulling from his grasp. He smirks, obviously taking notice of my flustered state.
"Actually.. I'd like to take you somewhere." He says.
"Where?" I ask.
"If I tell you, I'm afraid you won't go." He laughs.
"Oh yeah cause that's going to make me agree!" I exclaim.
"You said you want to know me better.. this is your chance." He offers.
I think for a moment, and come to the conclusion that Tom wouldn't ever put me in danger or take me somewhere that would make me uncomfortable.
"Fine." I agree. "Let's go."
We go out to his car and get inside. He starts the car and waits until I'm buckled in to pull it out of the driveway.
"So..should I be worried?" I ask.
"Nah, it's just kind of a weird place to go is all." He shrugs.
"Alright. I trust you." I nod and he laughs loudly.
"That's a very bad decision. Not this time, but most of the time." He giggles.
"Nah, you wouldn't let anything happen to me." I say with absolute certainty.
I see a small smile grow on his face, and his hand moves to rest on my knee.
"You are absolutely right, princess." He mutters.
He pulls the car down a little road lined with trees and I give him a weird look.
"This is the way to the graveyard." I say.
"Yes, it is." He nods.
"Why the heck are you taking me to a graveyard?" I ask.
He pulls the car up, and turns it off. It's creepy out here, I don't like it.
"Because this is my happy place." He smiles.
Oh no, I came here with a freaking psychopath.
I hesitantly get out of the car, already getting bad vibes from the place. Graveyards and I don't mix, they always have creeped me out ever since I was little. How could this possibly be his happy place?
"Come on, I won't let the ghosts get ya." He giggles, holding his hand out to me.
I reach out, putting my hand in his as we walk through the cemetery.
"I don't believe in ghosts." I say.
"Isn't your sky daddy a form of a ghost?" He asks and I laugh.
"You've really gotta stop saying sky daddy." I shake my head with amusement. "And he's more of a spirit."
"Spirits and ghosts are the same thing." He says quickly.
"And how would you know that?" I ask.
"Please." He scoffs. "I watched all fifteen seasons of supernatural."
Of course that's where he gets his information from.
"You're ridiculous."
I hear a noise, and grasp onto Toms arm tightly.
"Darling.. look right there." He says softly, pointing to his left. "It's just a squirrel."
I laugh at myself, loosening my grip on him. Jeez I'm jumpy.
"Here we are." He says, sitting on a bench that's across from a grave stone.
"Who is it?" I ask.
"Dunno." He shrugs and my brows knit together as I look at him.
"So we're just sitting at a random dead persons grave?" I ask.
"Yeah pretty much." He nods.
Cause this isn't weird at all..
"Used to come here in high school for hours, once my mum even called the police thinking that I went missing." He laughs.
"Why do you come here?" I ask.
"It's quiet, no one to bother me." He answers.
"Why are you showing it to me?" I mutter.
"Because for some reason, you are the only person that I can never feel bothered by." He says more quietly. "I like having you around, even if sometimes my asshole side takes over and says otherwise."
I laugh, and rest my head against his shoulder. He's right, it is kind of peaceful here.

After spending a while at the cemetery, Tom and I head back to his place because Haz texted us that he has big news. Although coming from Haz that could mean he found his other sock.
We walk through the front door, and he jumps up quickly and excitedly.
"We're going to Los Angeles!" He announces.
"I'm sorry what?" I say.
"InStyle magazine wants an interview and cover shoot with me, and I get to bring whoever I want! Three days in Los Angeles in a sick hotel and sunny weather. You're welcome." He smiles.
"I can't just leave school for three days." I state.
"You won't have to. It's not for two weeks, we will be on Christmas break." He says.
"Dude sick!" Tom says excitedly.
"Come on Eliana you have to come. It's California!" Haz encourages.
As much as I'd like to just up and leave on a trip, I just don't know if it's the best idea to go that far all alone- well I guess with my friends but one of them is a dummy with no common sense and the other is emotionally unstable so.
"I don't know.." I mutter.
"You'll get to see me shirtless at the beach." Tom wiggles his brows at me.
"Is that supposed to make me want to go?" I question and Haz laughs loudly.
"Yes!" He scoffs.
"Ehh, I think Haz's abs have a better chance at convincing me." I tease.
"Fuck yeah they do!" Haz says proudly and Tom glares at him.
"And.. I'll think about it. Maybe I'll go." I say.
We all end up watching movies as Haz looks up the best places to visit in LA. I have to admit, I do want to go but it just seems like a lot. Dont get me wrong, I love these boys. They're honestly my very best friends, but I don't know if I trust going to another country with them. Last time I travelled was with Jacob, and I was abandoned for two days while he went off with his friends. That is my worst memory.. it was awful. Sometimes I realize just how poorly he treated me.
My phone dings, and I check it. I see it's a text from Tom and give him a funny look. He nods to my phone, and I open the text.
Tom: what's wrong?
I shake my head to him, indicating that nothing is wrong. He starts typing again, and I get another text.
Tom: you've got your thinking face on.
I giggle at the text, which makes Tom smile.
Eliana: nice to know you pay so much attention to my face.
He rolls his eyes, and types again.
Tom: course I do. It's a nice face.
He winks at me and I shake my head. He's so silly.
"If you two are done sexting I have something to say." Haz says and my eyes widen.
"Sexting?!" I exclaim. "Absolutely not!"
"Please I'm not stupid." Haz rolls his eyes and I look to Tom for him to say something, but he just snickers to himself with amusement.
Have I mentioned I hate boys?
"Anyways-" Haz starts. "Im thinking day one we go down to Santa Monica pier and beach, then day two you guys do whatever while I'm at the shoot and then afterwards we can go to the shopping malls, and then day three, Disney."
My eye spring up when he says Disney. I've always wanted to go to Disney but I've never been because any family vacation I've been on has been to islands. Not fun places like Disney.
"Looks like I've finally peaked your interest." Haz says proudly. "You in?"
"For Disney? Duh!"
