I wake up, feeling really glad that I don't have classes today. I couldn't possibly sit through a class right now.
Last night was crazy, Tom definitely has some issues.. I can't believe he punched Jacob right in the face. Although.. he kind of deserved it. It was still a little weird though, like why does Tom get so angry so quickly?
I grab my phone, seeing I have a text from Tom.
Tom: I'm sorry about what happened.. I shouldn't have let myself get out of control like that.
Wow.. I wasn't expecting that. At all. It's so weird to me how Tom can go from being a complete asshole to actually being nice overnight.
Eliana: it's okay.. honestly it was quite nice seeing Jacob get what he deserved.
The doorbell rings, and I look at my clock. Who would be at my house at nine in the morning? I get out of bed, dragging my feet to the door. When I open it, I see Harry's smiling face, and a box of pastries in his hands.
"Good morning." He chimes. "I heard you had a rough night, so I thought I'd bring breakfast and hopefully cheer you up a bit."
I smile at the boy, not even caring that I probably look like shit right now because this is such a sweet gesture. I open the door wider, letting him inside.
"Sorry.. I'm still in my pajamas." I laugh.
"Honestly darling, I think I like you better in pajamas." He teases. "Love the cow print."
I facepalm, now realizing I have my cow pajamas on. Well- at least he likes them. We sit down at the table, and I put on the kettle to make some tea.
"So I hear my brother knocked the asshole out?" He questions and I laugh.
"Yeah, I have to admit- it was pretty funny." I nod.
I make the tea, setting the cups on the table and he opens the box. I grab a pastry, putting it on a plate.
"So I wanted to run it by you, would you be okay with me posting those photos I took of you on my photography page?" He asks.
"Yeah sure." I say.
"Great I'll just tag you and... done."
My phone dings, showing me that his page tagged me in photos. I go to follow him, and see just how many followed he has. The photo already has hundreds of likes! How did that happen?!
Suddenly my phone starts blowing up with follow requests, and I put it on silent so the dinging will stop. Maybe I wouldn't have been so quick to say yes if I would have known how many people were going to see.
"Wow, they're freaking out over you." He laughs.
"They think we're dating." I observe as I scroll through the comments. Mostly nice, some getting sad, man these girls really do feel a lot over something that's not even true.
"Better they think it's me than Haz or Tom. They'd riot over that." He laughs.
"Why? You're way nicer than your brother." I say.
"Have you seen Toms Instagram? He's not famous for being nice.." he trails off.
I haven't seen his Instagram. I look it up, and click his profile. Okay.. yeah he's definitely popular for a very different reason. His entire profile is filled with shirtless photos, hand photos, and workout videos. All the comments are girls practically drooling over him. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this.
"Well if they're going to think I'm dating anyone I'd much rather it be you." I giggle.
I take notice of the blush that rises on his cheeks, which makes me smile. Harry is a sweetie pie.
My front door opens, and I look over to see my mum walking in, dressed and ready to go to the church to prepare the service for tomorrow. Great. Just what I wanted. My mum walking in first thing in the morning while I have a friend over.
"Eliana I need to speak with you- oh." She stops in her tracks when she sees Harry. She puts a smile on her face, and looks to me with confusion.
"Mum this is-"
"Harry Holland, it's a pleasure." Harry says, putting out his hand to shake hers.
Impressive. He definitely has manners.
"Eleanor Gray." My mum now gives a genuine smile. "I'm sorry I didn't know you had company."
"It's okay, what's up?" I ask.
"Well I needed to let you know that Jacob will no longer be helping you out with painting the
Church tomorrow so you need to ask one of the girls from the youth group to help." She says and I groan.
"But they're so annoying." I mutter.
"Eliana!" She gasps.
Deep down, she knows they're annoying too.
"I could help. I want to." Harry offers and my eyes dart over to him.
"No you don't." I shake my head. "No he doesn't."
"Sure I do! It'd be nice to do something for others." He smiles and my mum claps her hands together happily.
"Oh great! I'll look forward to seeing you two tomorrow morning!" She says happily, pulling Harry into a hug which takes him by surprise.
"Okay bye mum." I say.
"Bye, have a good morning!"
She leaves, and Harry laughs at the expression on my face.
"You have no clue what you just got yourself into." I say.
"Oh come on, how bad could it be?" He asks and I laugh. He truly is clueless.
"When new people come in to help out, the church ladies get too excited and they won't leave you alone." I explain. "They hug. A lot."
"Well then I guess you won't have to deal with the annoying church huggers alone." He jokes.
It's so nice that he's offered to help me.. I don't know a single person that would voluntarily do this, especially not someone who doesn't go to church.
"Is everything okay?" He asks, and I quickly realize I've been staring at him for maybe a bit too long.
"Yeah. Everything's fine." I smile.

I clean my house, picking up things around the living room. It's nice to have a day off and get things done. It's the first time I've felt productive since the break up.
I hear a noise outside, and walk towards the door, looking out of the peep hole to see lily pacing back and forth on my porch. Why is she just standing out there?
I open the door, making her jump.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"I just- I wanted to- ugh." She groans. "I wanted to apologize."
I knew she'd come around.
"I didn't mean what I said." She says.
"It's okay lily." I say, and pull my little sister into a hug. "I know it's upsetting. It's going to take a while to get used to him not being around all the time."
"But be honest.. are you with that guy that we saw?" She asks and I laugh, knowing she's talking about Tom.
"Definitely not. I'm going to stay single for a very long time."
