Chapter 3 - Week

Keith frowned, knowing it would be a bad idea if he wins the battle.

It was a long time ago, but still. He was a horrible person for doing that to Pico. Keith thinks that he's selfish for doing that to him.

He couldn't handle hurting Pico again.

He thought about being more supportive of him, trying his best to make him try his best.

Keith ignored him at the time where he needed someone the most.

He can't stop the thoughts of him being a horrible person.

Keith snapped out of his thoughts, looking at Pico wondering how he feels. He thought he felt the same way. He's a horrible person and he shouldn't try at all.

"Maybe I'm not meant to be for him. I never was," Keith thought. He made the conclusion to lose the battle.

It's been days or so since they last saw Pico and Nene. Someone bombed the backstage, Keith knew who it was but kept silent about it.

Pico probably doesn't want to compete. Typical Pico. He always takes action instead of words.

"We should do it in our hiding place! My dad won't even like this idea," Cherry suggested.

"That's cool," Keith replied dryly.

"You better not think of losing," said Cherry.

"Theoretically, if I was thinking of it... Why not?"

Cherry pouted as she crossed her arms.

"I knew it," she said. "I can't let myself date your ex if I win the bet."

Cherry noticed Keith's troubled expression. She took him outside to have a more private talk.

"What's wrong?" She asked, looking at him concernedly.

"I was a horrible person to Pico... And I'm afraid that I might repeat the same thing," Keith vented.

Cherry didn't know what to do or say. She has never been in that much social interaction. She knows what would make a person feel better. A hug.

"Of course not," she reassured. "You realized what your mistake was. Of course you wouldn't do it again. You can be better for Pico."

Cherry pulled away the hug, caressing his cheek. "You can start in square one. You don't have to rush things. Start as being friends if you want."

Keith smiled at her, feeling a bit better. Cherry might be wiser than him at this point. "Thanks, Cherry. I don't know what to do without you."

"Me neither, Keith."

Nene pushed Pico around the store, offering him some type of clothing. Pico denied every single one of them.

"Ugh fine. Don't look cool for Keith then!" Nene groaned.

They finally exited the store, making Pico feel a rush of relief.

"Don't think of winning the battle," Nene said.

"Why not? That's unsupportive of you," Pico teased.

"Because you get to date Keith if you win!" She said, opening the door to Pico's car aggressively and went in.

Pico sighed, shaking his head and went in the car too. He started to drive.

"I know you want to get back together with Keith. Why else did you wait this long to be out of the relationship? Obviously you don't want to start a new one," Nene said, unbuckling her seatbelt.
